BOSTON (MarketWatch) -- The United Nations early Monday officially declared a baby born in the Philippines as the world's 7 billionth occupant. According to U.K. broadcaster Sky News, Danica May Camacho was born just after midnight Monday at a local hospital in Manila. After declaring her the honorary 7 billionth inhabitant of the planet, U.N. officials presented the baby's parents with a scholarship for her education and a financial package to help them open a general store. The world's human population has reportedly doubled in the past 50 years. Earth's 6 billionth occupant was officially born Oct. 12, 1999, in Bosnia.

Folks, correct me if I'm wrong but didn't it take only 12 years to go from 6 to 7 Billion?
The world is over-populated.
Just think of half of China's population using as much energy/oil/resources as 300 million Americans.
If every couple had 1 child and/or no child the world would be better withing 70 years.
That is not a long time.

We added 5 billion in 100 years, we'll probably be at 14 billion in 50. This is one of the big reasons why I support homosexuality...

Don't worry after 2012 the middle class will be terminated and population control will begin to take. The goal is between 1-2billion people I believe. All they have to do is control the food.
