What we need is not a Palestinian state to become the hub of international islamic jihad, but rather to eliminate the Gaza strip now, along with all of its inhabitants, so that the former never happens.

I'm not normally a proponent of ethnic cleansing. But, that society has not evolved much at all over the last 3000 years and their wretched culture has begun to spread its tentacles have spread around the world. They are becoming more and more aggressive the more we resist.

Anesthetizing can be done in a far more humanitarian method for survivors of the initial nuclear action. Perhaps surviving children, barring any permanent injuries could be relocated for adoption elsewhere. A large international coalition could be formed, which would be comprised of those EU nation states, as well as NA, and others interested in a piece of the pie in the end. Their contribution would be based on their ability to contribute.

If met with excessive resistance form the arab world, it could be announced that Mecca and Medina were not off the radar screen as potential nuclear targets. This warning alone, would most likely rule out EVERY arab nation not on our radar screen from participating.

They would be begging us to buy their oil at give-away prices just at the thought of the haj becoming a custom of the past.

I agree that their culture and/or religion are worthless and have no place in our world. I hope it doesn't come to what you suggest, but something has to be done to stop the spread of militant Islam.
This is something that a progressive liberal atheist and conservatives can agree on.

I have no problem declaring that a culture that treats women and children the way they do as an inferior way of life. Additionally, a culture that is run by religious doctrine is also inferior to a secular one that does not favor one religion over another. Morality should not be decided by doctrine, it should be based on the outcomes of specific actions. Homosexuality is a great example. Nobody is harmed by the act of homosexuality, yet it's illegal in many Muslim countries, and sometimes punishable by death.
