sometimes you can judge a book by it's cover and cain looks, talks and acts like the type that would do exactly what he is accused of. money can change people and the ones that weren't really "good" to begin with are the ones most effected by it.

Meh, it depends on the context. You have to know how she was acting. His behavior could have been reprehensible, slightly out of line, or welcomed.

The only hot seat is on CNN and MSNBC. CNN ran with this story and a Gloria Alred interview for 30 minutes + last night during the 5pm show because apparently this was the most newsworthy story in the world in their eyes. The funny part is as CNN and MSNBC keep beating a dead horse, Cain's poll numbers aren't taking a noticeable hit and the money keeps pouring in. No wonder FNC has slaughtered CNN in ratings year after year for over a decade.

    Correct!

I have to admit though, this story has a new dynamic
because all over talk radio, the one thing that I constantly hear
is "Why won't these woman reveal themselves publicly".
This has now been done and as the saying goes,
    your move Mr Cain.

A little thing called a confidentially agreement.

But you are correct, now that someone has it Has a face to it. Cain is starting to look like a perv. Guilty or not, right or wrong, the label is becoming attached.

Not to mention its extremely common for corporations to pay for nuisance cases to just go away. Obviously if the one chick settled for $40K/years pay or whatever, she couldn't have been harassed too bad considering she was suing a mega-million dollar corporation. You gotta remember the typical big corporation is paying $400-$600/billable hr nowadays so instead of tying some BS up with a year of legal maneuvering, why not cut your losses and pay $25K for something that has no merit to immediately go away?

I know but I was just stating that's what
is said on talk radio. I now understand that a
    fifth woman is coming forward.

    Beginning to resemble Tiger Woods
    without the sex.

It's funny, when Michael Jackson settled out of court,
a whole lot of people, myself included, interpreted the
settlement as an admission of guilt without trial.
Herman Cain and the NRA does this and
    there's a different interpretation.

LAM, I know you're a smart guy... do you really care about a politician's personal life? This kind of stuff is exactly what is wrong with politics.

Only if its a Republican's personal life. It doesn't matter if Clinton lied on national TV about blowing a load all over Monica or that Obama went to an antisemitic church for 20 years. Liberals and their liberal news networks always cut other liberals slack when it comes to morals and integrity.

Even assuming the "liberal news networks" downplayed the Clinton scandal, which I don't think they did, talk to me about Anthony Weiner and John Edwards.

My point is that whether it's about a conservative or a liberal, this personal shit needs to be kept out of politics. Who fucking cares? We need to be asking: are they a good leader? Will they help get the country out of the shit box it's in?

This kind of stuff is totally irresponsible of the media.

Paterno is Cains best friend. This couldnt of come at a better time. Not a coincidence either.

^ cannot equate nor compare Paterno and Cain. But I assume you're just joking.

IMO, one year from now the election will take place.

Whether Cain is the nominee for the GOP or not, no one will care about this issue, IMO.

Oh my point was, the paterno situation was used strategically for Cains advantage. I wasnt comparing them, i was implying that Cain probably couldnt thank Paterno enough right now for this convenient distraction.

Republicans and FNS do the EXACT same thing.

Herman Cain sex harass accusations don’t matter to GOP voters in key states, poll sug

Yet CNN will ride this story for another 3 months....

GOP voters in three key swing states still like Herman Cain, despite the sexual harassment claims that threaten to sink his White House bid.

Cain is ranked tops by GOP voters in Florida, with 27% of the vote, and in Ohio, with 25%, Quinnipiac University’s first “Swing State Poll” of the 2012 campaign cycle showed.

In Pennsylvania, the final state in the crucial trio, Cain and perceived front-runner Mitt Romney came in tied at 17%.

The poll, released Thursday, also showed Romney giving President Obama a good fight in all three states.

The three states are bellwethers in the presidential election: no candidate has taken it all without winning in at least two of the states, according to a Quinnipiac analysis of the poll.

“Questions about Herman Cain’s behavior as head of the National Restaurant Association haven’t derailed his candidacy so far, and he remains strong among Republicans,” said Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.

“While the immediate effect hasn’t been catastrophic, it’s unclear whether the story will have legs that will make a larger dent in the ‘Cain Train’ as we get closer to the actual primaries.”

The survey was conducted from Oct. 31 through Nov. 7, and captured the first week after Politico.com broke a story about two women getting five-figure payouts from the restaurant association after complaining Cain sexually harassed them.

Since the story broke, similar claims have been made by two other women. Cain has steadfastly denied ever having done anything inappropriate.

The poll wasn’t all good for Cain, who was not attacked by any of the candidates when a moderator asked him about the allegations during a GOP debate in Michigan Wednesday night.

“But when all voters — not just Republicans — are asked about Romney and Cain, voters are more comfortable with the idea of Romney as president,” read a Quinnipiac analysis of the results.

“Romney is considered more honest and trustworthy and makes a more favorable impression, while Cain is viewed more unfavorably.”

When all voters were asked whether Romney is trustworthy, the affirmative responses ranged from 46% in Ohio to 51% in Florida. Cain, on the other hand, had affirmative responses that went from 32% in Pennsylvania to 40% in Florida.

Among Republican voters, the poll had Romney getting 21% percent of the vote in Florida, six percentage points behind Cain, and 20% in Ohio, five percentage points shy of the former Godfather’s Pizza big shot.

But the good news for the Romney camp was that when all voters were questioned, the poll showed the former Massachusetts governor went toe-to-toe with the 44th President. Romney won in Florida and lost narrowly in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

“His wide lead over most of the field and his neck-and-neck race with Romney show that the dissatisfaction with the president as evidenced by his mid-40s-percent job approval and weak ‘deserves a second term’ ratings hasn't translated into affection for his GOP challengers,” Brown added.

in reality Cain would never stood a chance with winning over electorates that represent most independents or hard line democrats.

This speaks really well for the average GOP voter. Immediately this should make you walk away but as it is in politics all too often, people love a scandal and love standing behind the accused even if they are wrong.
