Lindsay Lohan Revisits Marilyn Monroe For 'Playboy'

Surprise, surprise. Though she's already appeared as blonde bombshell Marilyn Monroe in 2008 for New York mag, Lindsay Lohan is set to do the exact same thing for her upcoming issue of Playboy (due on newsstands in late December). The big boss man Hugh Hefner told The Insider that the troubled starlet did indeed go fully nude (as promised), and it was "classy."

"It's a classic tribute inspired by the original Tom Kelly nude pictorial of Marilyn Monroe, a portion of which was the original playmate which was in the original issue of Playboy," Hef stated, in his trademark smoking jacket. I'm pretty sure everyone is skeptical about this shoot, but it's pretty awesome that they're giving her the honor of redoing one of the iconic magazine's original spreads.

As a huge Lindsay fan (honestly...I bought her damn CDs), I'm hoping this can be a career turnaround for her. After her five hours in jail this past weekend, which I'm sure were tedious beyond belief, the girl could use a break. Sure, she gets herself into these messes and it's her responsibility to get herself out. But she's still young and she's still talented, and maybe this will remind people that she can work it.

Apparently, they can give her countless chances. You or me? A felony would be slapped on us and we'd be locked up for the limit.

When she had that one shoplifting charge, the retailer agreed to base the dollar amount on their price rather than the item's retail price (which would have qualified the theft as a felony).

The right lawyer and you can literally get away with murder.

Their is nothing attractive about Lohan, maybe a few years ago but not now. She's nothing but a nasty dirty strung out druggie who deserves to be thrown in prison for at least 2 years, better yet put her skanky ass in a super extreme boot camp rehab, where she can dig holes for latrines.

and/or solicitation of murder. you see a lot of wealthy people getting probation, or max maybe a couple of years. but a person that gets caught with a lb of weed will do 2-5 years no problem.

The irony of all this is that they are both good examples of what Hollywood fame does to people. Monroe and Lohan are both addicts and fame whores; perfect examples of tragic lives of desperation. The fact that Monroe was more attractive is hardly the point. I suspect that both will wind up the same way. Dead before their time.

I love the beauty of women, but my point is:

This whole thing is a marketing charade.

Marylin Monroe was pretty - but I wouldn't put her in the upper echelon (not that I care). And I would kick her out of my bed for putting crumbs in it.

Lohan,

Nothing against her, but as far as I cam concerned, she is doing this for some marketing pionts.
