I've never read it as I don't read fiction. But someone here can post Ayn Rand's interviews if they want.
I hear Fountain Head was better the Atlas Shrugged.
Rand actually drew on Social Security - sham on her - hypocrite.

Yeah, the same way Captain Kirk despises trekkies. Whether he likes it or not, trekkies will beat off to the image of him on the bridge of the Enterprise, and whether Ayn likes it or not, libertarians will be bukakke'ing her gravesite for decades to come.
I liked the book but I won't be re-reading it. So if anyone wants a copy that isn't spooged up by some libertarian fan-boy send me a PM.
I guess I have a libertarian leaning myself but I honestly don't believe we will ever find a political/economic solution to humanity's failings. Only the Messiah will bring justice and peace.
Anybody seen the sci-fi movie Dune or read any of the books? That is some hardcore intertwining of politics, religion, and metaphysics there! Don't want to thread jack so if anyone here is into it I will start a new thread for it.
No, she'd be a hypocrite not to try and take back everything they stole.
"It is obvious, in such cases, that a man receives his own money which was taken from him by force, directly and specifically, without his consent, against his own choice. Those who advocated such laws are morally guilty, since they assumed the “right” to force employers and unwilling co-workers. But the victims, who opposed such laws, have a clear right to any refund of their own money—and they would not advance the cause of freedom if they left their money, unclaimed, for the benefit of the welfare-state administration." ~ Rand
Yes, this sums up my thoughts. I would much rather have all I paid, with interest, given back to me to do with as I please. Maybe it makes more sense to put it into gold, an IRA, some investment, a down payment on a home. The fact I won't be seeing it anyways makes this desire very strong so I didn't get robbed of my own money to be redistributed to others; if I was going to get it back with certainty my polarized viewpoint would be quite different.
