Arizona Lawmakers Say They Will Build Border Fence | Fox News
While it will slow traffic, iIt won't stop it altogether and will be hugely expensive. Land mines would be a whole lot more effective and cheaper. After a few of those burritos turn into hot tamales, the rest of them will get the message.

If you strike me down(ban me)I'll become more powerful than ever.. Don't say i don't warn you.
i'm all for border security, however, this will exponentially cost more because of organizations such as the ACLU......more and more illegal spics will get hurt or die trying and the American taxpayer will be sued and pay their surviving families damages
Werd. I know it'll never happen. AZ would be tied up in never ending litigation if it even talked about using them. Who knows though. The costs could be offsset by savings from cutting off the flow of illegal spics.Less less welfare, less crowding in public schools, ERs no longer used as family doctor. Best of all, less crime, so less spending on LE. Also, fewer anchor babies means they won't be multiplying exponentially, making an infinite amount of new spics to leach off the welfare system in this country for generations to come.
the best game EVER!!!
Sangent : Free Online Games : Border Patrol
LOL! Some bloke at work sent that to me several years ago. It's addicting. ALso a good educational game for kids. The only thing better would be the real thing.
Its about time.
Builing a fence on your international border that has drug and human smuggling and illegals....
Hmm.....
The US govt can send a man to the moon and develop nuclear technology but cannot build a border fence and have manpower stationed there....
So, the state will try it.
Bu$iness and politicians running for elections every 2 years have simply kicked the can down the road.
It's an accurate statement that our current spending will not be increasing the debt We've stopped spending money that we don't have.

Day late and a dollar short.
Would have been a great move 50 years ago, but now the damage is already done.
They're like bedbugs, only more irritating and do a lot more damage, and are harder to get rid of. Saddam Hussein managed to calm the kurds down with a heanvy hand. A little crop dusting around some of the areas that are regularly breached might do some good also.

Werd. I've often wonderd why it's estimated to be 10-15 years before it can be done aga 50 years ago. Not to mention that, the fastest computer at that time had less computing power than my cell phone does today.
I've also seen videos of the astronauts walking around up there. How are you going to walk on cheese and not leave a deep ass footprint, even in low gravity.

there are no more international borders in this globalized world. large firms profit from illegal immigration and the taxpayers and infrastructure at the state level has to deal with the physical burden of this.
my old roommate who moved back to Vail in '04 is moving to FLA next month. he said 75% of his sons pre-school class are from spanish speaking only parents. on the bright side his son is picking up a 2nd language

Fuck a fence, get the chinks over here to build us a wall...
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Dark Geared, thanx for the response on sig. I cannot admit to bieng Jewish because I have no Jewish ancestry.
And Foreman is spot-on.
It's too late now, to deal with the issue. Demographics will take care of the rest.

I'm about 25min north of the border in AZ...the fence is a bad idea IMO.
It won't be physically effective...it only takes a ladder or tunnel to circumvent
I'm not a fan of the geopolitical or humanistic signal it sends
But....if they are going to do it, they better do it the right way and make sure that 100% of the material and labor used, is American. I'll be you 10 to 1 if they move forward on the project, they'll be an article or newstory about how millions in material was bought from China or how illegal labor was used in constructing the fence.

land mines. a moat. a wall. and turrets with motion sensors on it like in the high tech zombie movies. if u can get throught the infsted waters wich hides rocks, creatures, barb wire and so on u make it to the sand filled area of mines. if u make it past thet their turret mounted on the huge wall. if u get through all that then someone will be standing the other side handingout green cards LMAO

any large scale construction project is hard to accomplish w/o organized labor, but the project just cost way too much money.
personally I think it's nothing but political pre-election hype. knowing the ties between the current governor (and many other AZ politicians) and ALEC my guess is they would rather have a bunch of for profit prisons built and then go round themselves up some cheap labor.
