So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
to improve their lives.
Yes I think that is accurate to say that. Would have to be a bit higher up to really be a close resemblance but I got that before I even read the title.

All I see is an engineering nightmare, a project that will probably fail by the time they get to the Jenga part and end up just scrapping the whole thing for 2 straight up towers...
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

The whole scene reminds me of a couple nights on acid with that wavy building on the far left and the Dark City shifting building being proposed... I had images of both before in Honolulu and Waikiki...

Don't look back ~ You're not going that way!
everything looks like the twin towers blowing up..
best shit money can buy! ^^
Highly insensitive!!

Yes.

You'd think that for a country who is constantly at risk from being shelled into nothing by their neighbor (now with more nuclear warheads!), they'd be a little more sensitive to someone having been attacked.
Fuck those slanty-eyed gooks. When Kim Jong Il nukes them, I'm baking up a nuclear-shaped cake and having a party.

Why don't they just graft a 747 onto the side of the building and call it "good." Can't believe we have tons of military personnel there to keep kim jong from gaping their country.
Yeah it does. That's also the ugliest looking building, ever.
The journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.

“The Cloud was designed based on parameters such as sunlight, outside spaces, living quality for inhabitants and the city,” they wrote. “It was not our intention to create an image resembling the attacks, nor did we see the resemblance during the design process. We sincerely apologize to anyone whose feelings we have hurt, it was not our intention.”It seems reasonable that no firm that wanted to stay in business would champion such a plan if that connection were known. The blowback the firm describes on their Facebook page is another testament to that line of logic. “A real media storm has started,” they wrote, “and we [received] threatening emails and calls of angry people calling us Al Qaeda lovers or worse.”
Recognizing that the design is legitimately upsetting for some, and assuming that the firm truly didn’t see the connection, where does the fault lie? Did the firm fail to be sufficiently thoughtful about what the design might dredge up for some people, particularly Americans? Is there also a mistake being made by concentrating so heavily on that symbolism?
In any case, the developer has said that the design for the high-rises is still up in the air, and after this PR debacle, it seems unlikely that MVRDV will be coming away with the bid.

the habitat 67 apartments are prime real estate now. i think it's a cool design and a pity people are being so sensitive they can't see that.

they could change the plans to have two areas, one a bit lower n one higher up, of the additional spaces and it would change the perception probably.
