Yeah, I'm worried that the kid wants to prove his chops. From what I have gathered from the news, the new president of SK is not going to take any crap off the North like the last one did. In a stand up fight, the South would eventually smack the crap out of the North in the long run. That is if the Chinese stay out of it.

What I do not understand is the big fussl about North korea and their Nuclear weapons? the only country to use this weapon has been the United States against the Japanese and no one now a days is bitching about it.

Because that was 66 years ago and it was to stop the Japanese from taking over all of asia and possibly launching a ground invasion or a chemical/bio attack on the US mainland. They had it coming and so did the Germans if we'd had an extra one for them at the time. If the US hadn't nuked them, the war might have drug on for another 10 years, resulting in millions of more casualties on both sides. It was the lesser of evils in that case. When I mentioned they, I meant the media. They make North Korea seem like the evil empire (one of the main reasons due to its possession of nuclear weapons) when in reality you posses the same weapons and on top of that are guilty of using it on another country in the past!!!hypocrites at its finest form!!!

United States has bases/troops all over the world, spends billions on their military, while the land of the free is suffering a recession. I call that bat-shit crazy in my world.

^ because WWII was an actual war. Everyone knows why were in the middle east now, thats no secret. We had to nuke them, hundreds of thousands would of died anyway, at least. Could of been more. The U.S. would not be who it is today if we would of kept on fighting conventionally, for years on end.

Because what is happening in the ME isn't a real war. These are 3rd world countries with no ability to threaten national security. Our military is over there to control the region and protect our interests (oil, among other things). WWII was a real war, where the national security of the US and many other countries was at stake.

In a country where 90% of the citizens are weak and starving, there will rise someone willing to sell nuke material to the highest bidder. If they wanted to launch nukes they would have done so against the Japs whom they hate with passion and who reciprocates by having ongoing apartheid against them. China will save face by spouting platitudes but their economic engine is fueled by the West, not North Korea. Russia is going to step in and use this as a means of finally inserting their influence in the Pacific rim....That place is more like something out of a comic book than Soviet Russia or Red China ever dreamt of being. The pseudoreligious aspect of Il's regime is just icing on the cake of crazy.

Again, I refer to you to NK's propensity for selling any weapons to anyone.

Also, if you don't think they're an evil empire, based solely on how they treat their own people, you need to rethink your worldview.

Also, if NK uses nukes, or sells them to someone else, I doubt it will be at the end of a protracted war.

The bases are often where they are at the behest of the locals. It also adds stability to some reigions. But yeah, we do need to close some of them. The ones in Germany come to mind.

I'm still contemplating visiting this place next Summer. The price would be north of $12,000RMB. I'm not sure if I wanna drop the cash when I could go to the beach for a lot less $. They charge a high price and you're not free to walk around Pyongyang by yourself and talk to the locals.

Those people are so brainwashed it's sad. Every home had to have a picture of Kim IL displayed, I'm sure it will continue with the sons picture being displayed. Likely it'll probably be that both will have to be up on the wall out of respect for The grand Exalted Father. On top of brainwashings, they give infants cigarettes to decrease hunger pangs....

You should see the soldiers and policemen over here. They all look like boy scouts. They wear green uniforms that look like they're 4 sizes too big and they don't have any weapons on them. Add several years of malnutrition and that's prolly what a tipical NK soldeier looks like.

Werd. I've found that most people in developing countries are a good bit shorter than those from developed countries. For instance, people from rural towns in China are almost always a good bit shorter than those from Beijing and other modern cities here. I've also met a lot of African natives over here and they're a lot smaller than Afican Americans. I imagine it probably has a lot to do with nutrition.
