Good.

Good.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
to improve their lives.
It's a sad day and a truley huge loss, not just for Korea but the entire world. Hopefully, the new leader will continue to protect the Korean people from western imperialism and keep the spirit of Juche alive.

I agree with a few here. Who knows what kind of tyrant is going to take his place.
The Kim family is revered in both N & S Korea. That's why the people would accept no one else other than the son of Kim Il Sung to lead them and have already elected his son to secceed him. Perhaps the younger leader will be able to liberate the people of the south.

exactly...only time will tell if the average north Korean sees any type of real benefit from a change in leadership. historically these types of dictatorships are almost always repressive. one of my buddies is in the AF and just recently got orders there, everything is quite on the DMZ so far.
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

Here's the link to the official story. Apparently, the new leader will be the Great Successor. That's got to rock, to be in your late 20s and suddenly become a dictator without ever having to lift a finger to get there.

Kim Jong Il dead: North Koreans cry in streets to mourn leader, but are the tears real?
As the world watched North Koreans mourn the death of their leader Kim Jong Il on Monday, some were surprised by and even suspicious of the intense outpouring of emotion seen in the streets of Pyongyang.
Images of North Koreans wailing and throwing themselves on the ground in grief at the foot of a statue of Kim Jong Il's father, Kim Il Sung, made the rounds after the dictator’s death was announced, showing citizens from all cross sections of the country seemingly devastated by the news.
Workers, waitresses and schoolchildren were captured sobbing in public, and ruling members in one county were shown on state-run television agency KCNA "banging tables and crying out loud," according to the BBC, which cited an AFP news agency report.
KCNA also carried reports that millions of North Koreans were "engulfed in an indescribable sadness" and "convulsing with pain and despair" at the news.
As the footage was broadcast on outlets all over the world, some American pundits raised eyebrows at the veracity of the images.
"I guarantee you, ladies and gentlemen, they have been paid with hamburgers," Fox News host Bill O'Reilly said Monday on “Fox and Friends.” "There is no food in that country. All right? So they said hey, we need, what is it, eight leaping ladies, in the Christmas song. We need weeping ladies and there they are. Is there one tear? Do you see one tear? I see no tears."
New Yorker writer Philip Gourevitch called the display "mandatory public crying," labeling the outpouring of emotion a result of "the incessant psychic and physical torture - that the Kim dynasty has made the North Korean way of life for more than half a century."
"Early in the most heavily circulated clip, the fakeness of the grieving is obvious," Gourevitch writes. "But by about half way through the clip, the atmosphere of absolute bereavement looks real... Here in the space of just a few minutes... We see the method and madness of the Kims' grim dominion over North Korea."
But not all pundits wanted to speculate.
Fox News anchor Greta Van Susteren took to her blog Monday to urge people against poking fun at the images coming out of the country in mourning.
"Some have ridiculed and made fun of the crying women in North Korea - crying after learning the news of the death of Kim Jong Il. Who these women are or what circumstances under which they cry is not a good subject for ridicule," she wrote.
"Those who ridicule are acting ignorant - they do not understand the people of North Korea and what life has been for them for 50 years, nor do they understand the danger of this country that is armed with a nuclear weapon. The people of North Korea - especially right now - should not be fodder for amusement or sarcasm."

You can't really blame them, ignorance is bliss. They are completely isolated from the world, living in their own bubble. No internet access and a complete totalitarian militarized country. The North Korean Government tries to avoid any outside influence to disrupt the mind of its own people. Brainwashed they live inside their own bubble.

Perhaps they're crying because the one man who has protected them from western imperialism for the last 17 years has died and they're afraid that they're going to suffer like their brethren in the south under US military rule.
