I'm sure this has been posted somewhere.......But it still pisses me off. Not only is it prejudicial and downright childish marketing, but it insults Arnold as well. Bunch of yuppie whimps.
The second highest-rated comment almost says it all, "Judgement fee zone huh? I guess they don't judge strong people huh?"
The top-rated comment finishes it off, "Planet Fitness is for fags."
I also like how the Planet Gayness employee has a smaller build than my sister.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
to improve their lives.
All I see is commercials making fun of goofball meatheads.
Goofball meatheads should be made fun of...nobody likes them.
But to imply that all BB's... or those who choose weight training over a purple treadmill in a noiseless environment...are unintelligent is ludicrous.
So why don't they stop whining and do something about it.
Make a promo commercial ridiculing the average gym stooge.
Who is "they"?
Until then, they are the whimps with no voice and more muscle than brains.
I'll be sure to do that....right after I finish this roast beef protein shake.....Shouldn't you be off playing with your Craftsman tools?
That gym is an absolute joke. I joined online awhile back and 3rd time there a guy comes up to me midset of dumbell flat bench. He asks if I had the orientation and I say no,that I didnt need it as I was familar with all the equipment. He then takes me up to the desk and tell me there is to be no noise(grunting ect.) and weights need to be placed gently on mat.
I tell them that I wasnt making excessive noise, that I was just training and any noise they were hearing was breathing andtypical noises of someone benching using energy.I also tell them that I was placing dumbells (think they were 80s)on mat like I always have at many other gyms.Maybe dropping them on mat from sitting position on bench. The guy skates the issue and just repeats the same bullshit over again. When I ask him how he trains with free weights and makes zero noise and he gives me this reply"I dont train here,I train at LA Fitness." No shit, he says this in front of his manager who was standing right there. It was like the fucking twilight zone.
So I say,no problem, just void my membership and I will join LA as I paid for the year in advance. They say that isnt possible because it was my 3rd visit and they would have to charge me for the 3 days that I trained there and that would be more than the 100 that I paid them.
It was one line of bullshit after another.
I should have known something was up when I showed up on a Monday night and saw that it was pizza night(numerous pizzas sitting on table)but no pre or post workout drinks.
Place is an absolute joke.

Stereotypes are pretty much ludicrous in general.
I don't see anyone here complaining about racial stereotypes.

Yeah you do that and see if you amount to anything society will actually care about.

Stereotypes are stereotypes. Unless, of course, you're someone with a racial chip on your shoulder. That being the case, it would be expected that any mention of stereotying would almost automatically be redirected to race....a very old cop-out, IMO.

No, your wording is adequately simple.

Racial chip or not its still ridiculous and done way more often than trying
to humilate meatheaded bodybuilders which is of far less significance.
Its ludicrous to say its a "cop-out". Sounds like you're just another hyprocrite.

I think I need to go to one to cause problems, like lots of problems, then leave and tell the CC company to void the charge. I really hate commercial gyms after working out where I do now. Reminds me of the old lady who told me I was lifting too much weight on leg press (was warming up too which made it all the funnier) when I was at lifetime. Oh was she shutting the fuck up when I stood up over her and just sweat on her shoes until she walked away. Or the time the trainer told me to stop dropping the weights after a tripple drop set on bench (110, 85, 70 mind you). I said you do that, 8 reps with each weight, then you can tell me what you to do you fuckwad. He and all 150 pounds of him walked away and said not another word to me until I left the place a few months later. All these places are part of the same agenda to keep America weak, unhealthy, teach them its ok to suck at life, losing is something you should accept and suicide is a viable option. End rant/
He's just mad because we're making fun of his home planet: Gayness.

Its clever marketing. Not that I respect that kind of thing but many people are intimidated by lean and built gym goers. It stops many from joining the gym altogether.
The skinny and fat are a niche market without a doubt.
