    Some people just can't drive

I never had this much trouble driving in SLC. Well, except that one time I was cut off by an old Asian woman.

So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

It's not like this place doesn't get snow...

If you don't have winter tires...insurance should not cover....

    Hoooooooooooly....

Nothing quite as scary as being a pedestrian and watching one of those out of control cars slippin' & slidin' towards you.

Talk about having to keep your head on a swivel.
The journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.

Winter tires won't make retards any better of drivers.
I love getting high, I hate getting low, and I like to drive my truck down a muddy dirt road.

I'm a great believer in luck and I find that the harder I work, the more I have of it.

Kudos to the driver of the subaru wagon though. Pretty decent recovery if that was really as slippery as it looked.

Agreed. He should have definitely called the cops or the borough to bring saw horses with a big sign that read "Hey, morons! Park your vehicle NOW!"

That was fun to watch, though.

The last few drivers should have seen the graveyard of cars, trucks, and SUVs piled up on the curbs and in yards and said forget it.

That really is funny. However, in the 25 years I have lived in Tucson it snowed here about 6 times where anything stuck. The streets were simply vehicular carnage. Hell, most people can't even drive in the rain out here.

I have driven a lot in New England states during 2 foot blizzards, and I never saw that much retarded the entire time. Roads do get slick, but even without snow tires, you can manage if you have a 4wd or a fwd and a little sense. Just never brake, or it is game over.

those were some really slick roads, I live in snow country and I have a hard time losing control when I try to. Although, i drive a subaru outback and a chevy silverado with sand bags in the back.

I was wondering the same thing, but with crashed cars all around and more in the process, I'm not sure it was safe enough for it to do its business. Just look what happened with the car took a glancing blow on the blade.

I saw this happen when I visited my family in Missouri it snowed a little that day and melted and then a big snow fell that night turning the wet ground to ice beneath the snow. We got a lot of black ice in Texas, i saw a truck jackknife once after it hit a patch on the interstate, that was scary....

and drag down the features of age,

no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

How can people live in places like that? especially people that work out. I hate snow.

i hate it i love it. it's beautiful and it's really nice to be all cozy inside looking out the windows at it. i love waking up on mornings it's all piled on the trees. it's a pure beauty a quiet stillness. magic to be out in the woods in it but to drive around in it is shit unless you are snow sledding.

I like it after a heavy snow on Sunday morning. You walk out onto the porch. The traffic is minimal. Most people are still indoors. It's very quite and still. It's peaceful.

Most of those asshats have one thing in common. Going too fast for conditions. Especially the turd burglar at 3:43 in a rear wheel drive pick-up.

I went to Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI and drove around with a '79 Caprice Classic. Never got stuck and never had an accident. Almost had one when a woman in a Dodge Omni pulled out in front of me and didn't get on the gas. I started slowing but couldn't get it slowed down in time so I hit the horn and she got on the gas.

The problem with the assholes in the video are that they rely on the traction control, the ABS, the stability control, the 4 wheel drive, the all wheel drive and whatever else they put in cars to allow morons to drive. So they step on it because the ECM lets them get traction, they go fast because they have ABS and and think they can stop as fast as the car will on dry pavement and they drive like they are trying to qualify for a F1 race with all the other electronics that make up for a lack of skill and intelligence when conditions aren't that bad. I feel bad for the passengers that may have gotten hurt because they weren't driving. I have no sympathy for the drivers that got hurt. They shouldn't have a license in the first place.

This video is shot in West Bountiful, UT. There are a lot of new houses in that area (built in the last 10 years). They're big, nice houses. It's were a lot of Californians move when the arrive in UT. They have no idea how to drive in the snow.

hey, hey, hey. Some parts of california get tons of snow. I go snowshoeing and skiing all the time and sometimes on 30 ft of snow. It's those southern cali folks that can't handle it.

Don't worry, I still respect you.

I'm willing to bet that upwards of 85% of Cali never has to drive in snow on even a semi-regular basis.

Yeah, at least 85%. Norcal is extremely rural. We just get a little testy when we're lumped in with those so cal folks.
