    vasectomy vs tubal ligation

    In the future after our 3rd child, my wife wants me to get snipped. I of course would rather have her get her tubes tied.

    I have read that there can be serious side effects for men from a vasectomy.

    Anyone have personal feedback on this?

    A vasectomy is a simple out PT surgery with little to no recovery time, a tubal ligation is a far more serious operation and much more dangerous. Simple choice IMO. Plus with a vasectomy you are good to go with any woman, plus if your wife gets knocked up in the future you will know she cheated on you.

    sperm sample testing done post-recovery verify's the procedure...best $1k I ever spent.

    This, plus: The only downside to a vasectomy is the inability to have children. Which is the plan. The upside is that the only other notable effect is a lowering of the chance of getting prostate cancer. It's a win.
    So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
    of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
    about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

    A vasectomy is a simple procedure that can be done in a doc office under local anesthesia.
    It takes around 30 minutes.
    I had one done years ago and never regretted it.
    I had no side effects from it.

    My wife and I talked about it. I told her I'd bite the bullet. Men can be in and out in a half hour, and on their way to work. The thought of cutting objects by my balls scares me though lol
