    How to stay positive

Some days I just find myself in such horrible moods for no reason. What do you guys and gals do to get back onto a positive mood? I notice that if I'm critizing someone/people in a day a lot I'm having a bad day and being way too negative! Bad energy is not good for anyone.

Try going to a pozz party. That should give you a permanent positive feeling.

    Do something.

Feeling like a victim or subject to the whims of others is a major source of depression and apathy. Taking control leads to feeling happy and confident. Start small, do something you're been promising to yourself that you'd do and do it. Maybe it's cleaning out your car or doing some weeding. Those are things you don't have to interact with other people to accomplish. Then move on to bigger things.

In short: take control of your life.

    Good luck, man.

It's all in your mind. Lots of positive thinking. U can also try praying, u don't have to be religious to pray. All u gotta do is dump out all the negative aspects in your life and fill it with positive thoughts immediately. U can also talk to yourself and make yourself feel good by saying simple words like I'm the shit and I look like a beast, sounds gay but no one will know u do this and yet you'll be a happy mother fucker.. Mind over matter..

It's not often for me, it usually around stressful events and/or big tests coming up that I just get into the mood where I get stressed out so I'm negative. I'm very, very negative when it comes to doing math for school, last math class ever and I'm struggling with it and it's all I need to get my degree. Talk about pressure. 1 month left to understand it all and take a test and a final in there, a long with my other classes.

Which goes back to my first post, it isn't for no reason its under stressful events and/or tests. Found that out just by thinking about it.

I like to look at the world the way Andy Kaufman did and the Joker did and ask myself "Why so Serious?". It starts on my commute to work I look around at faces in cars and they're all scowling or blank, I smile to myself crank up the radio and chill out. Then I get to work and do chaos management all day between my 4 subordinates and all of my scatter brained customers, I just take it all in stride with my music playing softly out of the speakers, then I go home to my 6 dogs and leave it all behind...
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Hop in your Lambo flick on some tunes.. now rev it up a little bit. Hey I said REV IT UP!! now ease into the pedal... turn the wheel 30 degrees and hold on!

    Are you still stressed?

Sometimes you gotta release your stress. Working out can do precisely this. After your steam is out then relax. And the next day focus on what you want to do or be and do whatever you gotta do to make it happen. In your case maybe get a Math tutor and spend time after class tackling problems. That's what I did and I passed my class (Math is my worse subject) got my degree and on to bigger and better things.

Listen to your favorite cd, watch a great comedy, do something thatn has always made you feel good, even something from your childhood. As far as relieving stress, for me it`s a great workout and/or sex.
Maybe you need to talk to a professional? Maybe some meds. Just saying it might be something out of your immediate control. Whatever it is, feel better soon bro. No matter how bad you feel, someone is having a worse day than you are.

Have a dream that you're an unemployed security guard that killed a nurse by miss using a defibrillator, and that you've been abusing supplements for 19 yrs without results.

Next wake up. Glad it's only a dream, huh???

^^This^^ will work. I've done it many times. But, you may want to practice with a real defibrillator a couple of times so that you can correctly misuse it in the dream. You can also dream that you've engaged in a homosexual act and feel ashamed of it because you actually enjoyed it. When you wake up, you'll feel a massive rush of elation.

do you wake up in a bad mood frequently or are you easily put in one?

Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. I'm blessed to rarely be bored or in a horrible mood, but I'm pretty disorganized and a procrastinator.

A comedy DVD might be enough for you or you may need medication to return to a positive mood. One thing on your side is that you recognize that you're not in a good mood. There are people who don't have that insight or self-awareness. Best wishes!

I have a tendency to be on the depressive side most of the time. Usually this is turned towards myself rather than others. I am my own worst critic, very much to a fault. Clinical depression is difficult to deal with, and easy solutions are generally not good long term fixes.

Pick up my 3 1/2 month old daughter, love her a bit, kiss my wife and thank God that they love me as much as I love them. Can't in any way be negative after that.

Affirmations. Set your goals and repeat them at least 12 times a day, morning and right before bed are best. Say what your grateful for each day. Like waking up. The jewish even have a prayer of thanks for after they take a shit, thankful that everything is working.

Lexapro, Zoloft, Xanax and Valium or whatever else is in the med chest. Sometimes I will hijack the GF's midol on a really bad day.
