it makes me feel good to hear when iraqi soldiers surrender
NORTHERN KUWAIT, March 19 — U.S. warplanes bombed Iraqi artillery just north of Kuwait on Wednesday, softening up the path of U.S. and British troops poised to invade Iraq, NBC News has learned. The bombing came as 17 Iraqi soldiers laid down their arms and crossed the border into Kuwait. The Pentagon hoped tens of thousands of Iraqi soldiers would join them in defecting as the clock ticked toward the 8 p.m. ET deadline set by the United States for Saddam Hussein to leave Iraq or face attack.

the bombing has not started...it would open up a lot more intensely than that...they are just patrolling the sourthern no fly zone as usual

Except the bombs are falling. Read the story - the word bomb appears in the first sentence.Originally posted by coleman

technically, the bombs dont have to start directly at 8, I mean it could be a month from 8 o clock tonight... but it could also technically fall before 8 as well. Saddam's already declared that he's not leaving
The sites are within the southern “no-fly” zone that U.S. and British warplanes patrol regularly. The warplanes often attack targets within the zone
