I'm leaving right now to buy flood insurance because a FEMA survey says if the sea level rises 1.5 meters I will lose my house. Now my mortgage company demands flood insurance. Cost of living keeps going up and I havent gotten a pay increase in 10years, sorry for the rant.

That's at least 500 years worth of sea level rise. You might not be needing it anytime soon.
If gunners were as violent as anti-gunners believe, logically there wouldn't be any anti-gunners left.
Its amazing to me that they can just up out of nowhere say you must pay for flood insurance because of a survey that I'm not sure is even reliable. But its against our constitutional rights to have to pay for health care. I think all insurance is unconstitutional.

They just moved the tsunami zone back, my house was right on the line and now it's 600ft away, I live 1/2 mile from Waikiki beach.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

In theory one could bank the money he would usually spend on insurance and come out in a major plus, problem is people would just spend that money on another flat screen, and a new, computer, and one more flat screen for the 2 yr old's room, and maybe a nicer car....and nice clothes to make up for how uninteresting of a person he is.

I used to be required by FEMA to have flood insurance, I live right by lake st. clair. But not close enough for it to ever flood, and when my basement did flood the insurance would only pay for it if there was a declared natural disaster, which has never happened in my city, so they never paid for anything.
A bunch of the people in my city got pissed and they hired a civil engineering type firm to do some research and they were able to prove to FEMA we don't need insurance and got our area re-zoned. That is your best option. They said they would do it for just my house for $1,000. I was gonna do it because the flood insurance was $150 month but didn't need to in the end.
