You have to remember not every situation is 'saveable' too. Imagine you were 30 rows up in that movie theater and you happened to have a pistol. It's dark, people are running everywhere, its loud as fuck from gunfire and screaming and there's constant crazy muzzle flash from the Joker shooting every 3/4 of a second. What could you really do?

If he happened to be next to you, and you were able to live long enough to get off a shot that he didn't see coming and actually hit him somewhere he wasn't protected, you could have eliminated the threat. Other than you're pretty screwed in that particular situation considering the potential collateral damage from you missing a shot.

how's that with the zero gun legislation that's been proposed since the Brady Bill got passed in '93? the only people ever talking about gun control are on the right...democrats gave up on gun control decades ago, the NHRA is too powerful.

and considering that the majority of deaths from gun violence are between people that are familiar with each other having a gun is zero protection against that.

Then they'll reference a biased study where they put untrained individuals with little to no firearms training in a situation where they have a concealed pistol with paint slugs in a room with others and have an actor barge in as a crazed gunman who knows who the test subject is and claim that the failure of the test subject to stop the attack is what every CCW owner would do in the same type of situation...

Amen to that! This guy and the CO shooter were clearly implants. The CO shooter was a schizo who was easily manipulated by the deomcrats to further the Obama admin's gun grabbing agenda. AAs far as I'm concerned Eric Holder was the shooter in that situation. As for the WI shooter, the fucking moron couldn't even get it right. It is totally obvious that the admin wanted to make sure this appeared to be a hate crime against muslims. But, since our president is a muslim, he wouldn't kill his own fellow muslims. So, the guy was sent to a sikh temple so that he would look like some kind of idiotic tea bagger who couldn't tell the difference between a fucking sikh and a mooslime. I thought Hillary was low down when she tried to bribe voters with a US savings bond for their votes. Now, the Obama admin is sending nutjobs out to shoot up theatres and temples to scare the fuck out of the people in order to make onservatives look like fucking nutjobs.

In a nutshell, Obama was the real shooter in both cases!

My biggest fear is that some one that is untrained out of fear now is going to get a CCW and never fully understand how there weapon operates or how to shoot it. It is only going to take one time is some one kills or injures another person and they have a CCW for that right to be taken away. Like Big Pimpin said, not every situation is savable, but every one wants to be a hero. They wont realize that the situation is fucked and there skills are no wear near the capability that is needed to neutralize the situation.

Won't happen. Notice the one thing most all of these mass shootings have in common, they happen in "gun free zones". These killers may be crazy but they're not stupid. They go where they know their targets won't be able to shoot back.

I have a friend that shot three people a couple years ago when they followed him out of a bar. Arrested, wentto court and all he got was carrying in place where he shouldnt have been. Fine and probation. Stand your round brother. My sister got shot with her friends during a robery outside a bar and was only saved because somebody dragged her under a car. Fuck all that noise
