Fox and Friends showed us this video of a chimp attempting to get out of a zoo in England. He was caught signaling to visitors to help him open the enclosure, presumably so he could break free.
So awesome how intelligent animals are. One of my dogs learned how to open my microwave by pressing the button, so I can't leave anything I heat up unattended or he will get it. He also learned how to open the oven, so I put a latch lock on it cause that is dangerous...
We have really underestimated the intelligence of animals. We had a Blue Tick/Aussie Shepard mix that was so damn smart he was scary. When he was about 6 months old he pulled out the drawers at the kitchen counter so he could use them as a ladder to get to the cookie jar.

had a bunch of them get loose in north west vegas just a couple of weeks ago. I think it's cruel to have any animal with a high level of intelligence living in a cage, it's wrong on a variety of levels. I don't even own a cage for my dogs, at worst they get locked in a spare bedroom.
