Since Barack Obama was born in Kenya and is a muslim....

Does that make him not only our first black president, but also our first uncircumcized president? This of course would be quite scandalous. If that were the case, then Romney should have demanded that Barack produce a picture of his willie about a week before the election. Just food for thought. Do y'all think it would have affected the outcome of the election? Please share your thoughts on this.

One thing we know is that if he isn't cut, we don't have to worry about a Monica Lewinsky type scandal because most girls are disgusted by an ant eater dick.

Circumcision Becoming Less Common in U.S. - The New York Sun

they better get used to uncut or develop a thing for older men.

By 2004, the most recent year for which government figures are available, about 57% of all male newborns delivered in hospitals were circumcised. In some states, the rate is well below 50%. and still dropping.

Which is ignorant considering the recent research showing that it dramatically reduces the chances of stds.

That is an absolute fact, but that information is not being talked about as heavily as it should be.

wearing a condom and not being a slut helps. the risk of procedure, pain to infant, loss of an organ specifically designed to increase pleasure is a lot to consider in light of very minimal benefits. my son is very glad i didn't have him cut and there are tons of men who are extremely angry this decision was made for them.

    • About 117 boys die each year in the United States as a result of their circumcision, most from infections or blood loss.1
    • The current U.S. circumcision rate is steadily declining. In 2010 it was 32%.2 That's a huge drop from 56% in 2006 and 65% in 2002.
    • Most physicians do not have their sons circumcised...
    • As adults, men circumcised in infancy are almost 5 times more likely to be diagnosed with erectile dysfunction (ED). 9 10
    • Circumcision regularly removes a shocking 3/4 of the penis' sensitivity through the removal of the ridged band, foreskin "lips," and most often the entire frenulum.6
    • Circumcision has never been proven to be effective in either reducing or treating cervical cancer, penile cancer, urinary tract infections, or sexually transmitted diseases including HIV/AIDS.13
    • Not one medical association in America, or anywhere else in the world, recommends infant circumcision; some even recommend against it.14 At no time in its 75 years has the American Academy of Pediatrics ever recommended infant circumcision.

Attempts to ban the procedure have failed because parents have a right to do the procedure based on randomized trials in Africa.

Your post is outdated. A 25 year study that was published in aug 2012 showed a dramatic reduction in stds including HIV and a reduction in the rate of cancers caused by the hpv virus.

It's silly to post about 100 kids having complications. Everything in medicine comes w risks but we have to look at things from a benefit/risk ratio.

Vaccines are a great example. Although, some kids will die from vaccine complications, the benefits of vaccinating our children far outweighs the risks.

Personal stories about the issue see irrelevant. I have a friend that had to have it done at the age of 30 because be was having complications w his fore skin, it actually caused him to have ED.

Plus, women aren't huge fans of ant eaters covered in smegma.

The American academy of pediatricians have changed their position in wake of the new research and now say that the benefits outweigh the risks.

I actually worked with a guy who got it cut in his 40 's. He didn't notice a difference in sexual gratification, and enjoyed be cut way more than uncut.

I'm going to take his word since I personally know him, and because he is one of the few people around who can make an honest comparison between being cut and not.

Since Barack Obama was born in Kenya and is a muslim....

After a comprehensive review of the scientific evidence, the American Academy of Pediatrics found the health benefits of newborn male circumcision outweigh the risks, but the benefits are not great enough to recommend universal newborn circumcision. The AAP policy statement published Monday, August 27, says the final decision should still be left to parents to make in the context of their religious, ethical and cultural beliefs.

Great post. A great example of the benefits of scientific research.

If we didnt do things because they hurt or because they had risks, we'd miss a lot of crucial medical care.

Getting a shot hurts and has a risk of infection and even death.
Having your blood drawn hurts and has the risk if death.
Getting stitches hurts and has a risk of death from infection.
Getting a cavity filled hurts and has risks.
Getting vaccinated hurts and has risks.
Heart surgery hurts and has the risk of death.

    Benefits vs risks!

you can cure an std and educate on aids prevention a lot easier than you can cure death or a maimed penis. i guess your view changes a lot when you date a guy with a botched circumcision. it's not as rare as you might think. i don't think a study or even three of them, based on men who visit prostitutes in Kenya is relevant to my son.

In the late eighties, researchers began to suspect a relationship between circumcision and transmission of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. One researcher wondered why certain Kenyan men who see prostitutes get infected and others don't. The answer, it turned out, was that the ones who don't were circumcised. Three separate trials in Uganda, Kenya, and South Africa involving over 10,000 men turned up the same finding again and again. Circumcision, it turns out, could reduce the risk of HIV transmission by at least 60 percent, which, in Africa, adds up to 3 million lives saved over the next twenty years. The governments of Uganda and Kenya recently started mass-circumcision campaigns.

These studies are not entirely relevant to the U.S. They apply only to female-to-male transmission, which is relatively rare here.

they based their decision on the 1980 studies.

AMA Adopts Policies on Circumcision, Gun Safety
the link where i said randomized trials was too this

Interest in newborn circumcision has increased in recent years because three large randomized trials in Africa have shown that, in adult men, the procedure reduces the risk of acquiring HIV and other sexually transmitted infections.

No, the new decision is based on studies performed since 1995.

so they gave a nod to it providing benefits but they still do not recommend it.

"A revised AAP policy statement does not recommend routine circumcision for newborn males, but it does say current evidence indicates the health benefits of the procedure outweigh the risks."

If I opt to have my breasts removed it would prevent breast cancer and some women do have that done. I have an informed teen and an adult daughter who are sexually active but responsible. I didn't feel the need to main either of them rather than educated them.

I fail to see what any of this has to do with your kids.

The AAP is not saying everyone should do it. They are saying the benefits out way the risk.

I'm sure there are legalities involved on that wording. If they say it should be done it probably gives government agencies the ability to force it on people.

they were forced to take a stand because as respected as the procedure is some places have tried to ban it so even the aap cried foul and cautioned doctors not to be judgmental. it's personal choice but i believe it should be up to the male.

the way i see it, it's my son's penis not mine and his right to choose. as a parent i feel that it is a barbaric, cruel, procedure that can be avoided just by educating your kids. and honestly, most women i know that have it done to their sons admit the motivation is usually just how it looks.

my daughter brought me my earrings when she was almost 2 and asked me to put them on her. i couldn't and she cried. i got her ears pierced for her for her second birthday and when we left she said, "it's gonna hurt a little bit ok?" i was sweating and she was fine. now her ears are gauged to 0 and i recently showed her the earrings and she remembered crying about them. she put them in her gauge holes and wore them all evening. earring holes heal up. foreskins don't grow back.
