Well boys and girls, what a nail biter it was!!!
All comp we have been smashing the other teams by 200 runs every game. The team we played in the final was the onlyteam that came close (about 100 runs) (they actually beat us in the very first game but only just)
We're thinkin we need about 200 runs to ensure our win! Anyhow, our first batting pair went in My old man and 28yr old brother. They came out with 29 runs not bad but the fielding side was looking dangerous!!
Next pair was me and my mate Shane. We were something spectacular to watch i'm tellin you!! Came off with the top score of 51 (Shane 26 Me 25)
3rd pair was the big hitters of My youngest brother (26) and workmate Craig. WHAT A FLOP these 2 got 11they usually get 60+ (assholes)
4th pair of twin brothers Ray and Rod Hill batted well and came off with 36
All up 127 Things were looking bad
So its our turn to field.... I'm gonna keep this short....
We werent doin too bad some good wickets nice catches and runouts. The last pair needed 50 runs exactly and they were a good pair (they're taget was vey getable)
On the last over there are 3 balls remaining they are 123 (5 runs to win) Ball was hit and only one scored...
Then it happened........2 balls remaining....... Our guy comes into bowl and........

I thought i'd get at least a *DUH??* or a WTF??![]()

Oh, okay...........DUH, hey riz.......WTF is a wicket?....Sounds like Elmer Fudd trying to say 'cricket'.![]()
A wicket is the pitch (the piece of grass between the stumps or in indoor "astro turf" fake grass) But when you get someone out it can also be called a "wicket"
I think it comes from the fact that the batter has to leave the wicket when they're out. Not that they do that in indoor, they just get 5 runs deducted from their score and keep batting for a full 4 overs (which consist of 8 deliveries) thats when they bowl the ball.....
Confused would we.......
