Depends on the strain.



Indicas make you more tired and relaxed while sativas or the "skunks" make you have more of an uppity high. I personally prefer hybrids or strong mixes of the two.

Yes, as mentioned below the skunkier smelling stuff (indica) is more of a stone while the sweeter smelling stuff (Sativa) is a high. For medicinal purposes, people who are looking for a sedative effect or pain killing effect want indica and those who are using it for anti-anxiety or mood stuff want sativa. I like sativas more cuz you can get shit done, but hybrids are pretty fun too. With a vape you can control both the dosage of weed as well as the cannabinoids you get provided there is a temperature setting. The cannabinoids that vaporize at lower temperatures are more of a high and the higher temperatures are more of a stone. This vape has 3 temp setting so I keep it at the middle temp. I had 2 other vapes before this that had digital temp settings and that was nice but unnecessary. It's pretty nice, you can get high or stoned, whichever you prefer. Then, you take the duff (Vaped weed) and make it in to brownies that fuck your world up. That's a stone you wouldn't believe.

not really true, many strains have traits that vary so tast/smell is not the only factor. (if it smells strong it may be strong therefor the trend of getting you more medicated.)

eg. is some afghan bud strain I got (for medical use and completely legal for me) it smells sweet and hashy and has a taste more like hash less like "skunk" yet mellows very nicely and helps with my back pain very nicley (also the black afghan is nice).
Than I got this pink kush and it smells and taste more skuny/sweet yet still very good at relaxing the muscles and budy. Indica's are very nice for pain and relaxing. Sativas will be more heady and speeding of a feeling ( I avoid due to anxiety issues) I like less to no mental effects, just the help for my body.

I DO NOT agree with you. I find Indicas to be MUCH better for anxiety. if anything sativas give me anxiety.

I smoked literally 5 times a day for the last 15 years, and I've always heard about how different strains do different things, but every type of bud I've ever smoked made me tired and hungry.
The last 2 years it all makes me have major anxiety and I've had to give it up.

You find them to be better for your anxiety. The medical indication is sativa for anxiety/depression and that seems to be a trend that holds up for most. That's not to say some people don't react differently. I've had friends who have reacted in the opposite manner as me wrt the same strain, however, that seems to only be the case when smoking or eating. Since you can select the cannabinoids you want to ingest via temperature with a vape there seems to be more consistency that way.

most found stuff is breed solely for high THC (atleast in passed) and are hybrids of the two (sativa and indica) so most avg street stuff will most likely have both main "types" with varying "strains". its just about impossible to find a 100% sative or indica now and only now are they starting to breed for higher CBD over THC (what I like) and seems indica dominant strains give me the effects I mention and have a higher CBD then alot of sative hybrids.
the one i mention (afghan) is a 95/5 indica to sativa (still a hybred but mostly indica.) 80-95%indica is good for me still has alot of THC but also CBD and other compounds I want OVER THC. and pink kush 90 indica/10sativa, but thats not to say there are not some sativa dominant strains that seem to have effects more like indica dominant strains, its no jot as common so unless you REALLY know the strain you should go by the basics of what traits its dominant part usually has.

You are right. even the clinic I go to has it listed like that... I just dont see it, but thats just because of how I AM with it.
So i preach what I KNOW and mellow = less anxiety to me.
I just dont see how a speedier feeling would LESSEN anxiety. but not all people are the same i guess.

I think it has to do with target tissues and sativas tend to work on the brain. I agree with you that some people have issues with sativas but I think this has to do with the way they breed them. It's not always beneficial to increase THC and/or CBD content of the strains. Even in a seasoned user it can be too much, most people don't realize that more or a higher concentration of a drug isn't always better. That's why I like the lowest effective dose. For one it makes sure your experience is pleasurable, and secondly it saves you mad cash.

I think I'm just unable to detect any difference in any strain, even stuff that we knew the strain of. I know a lot of farmers as well as seed farmers and I have never tried any pot that didn't give me the munchies and make me lazy. Not saying that's always a bad thing, I'm just confused when someone says that a particular strain gives them energy, cause I've never experienced that.
It's similar w alcohol, some claim that different types of alcohol make them feel differently, but it all makes me happy, obnoxious and horny.

I like to look at it this way. I have no problem spending $100+ a night on the weekend going out and drinking. If I don't do that for 2.5 nights I can spend money on something that will allow me to do something I like in a more healthful way.
