    Oh, yes!

Today is my lucky day! Found some ammo at the local Wally World. Limited to three boxes so I bought three of 9mm. But no .45ACP, maybe another day.

I just popped in on a whim to see if they had any. There were five happy boxes in their case. I had to leave two of them.

    Congrats!

I'm sitting on 500-10mm, 400-.40 and 200-9mm all acquired pre-BS. I'm not shooting anything this year, other than mopes and perps, until I first acquire more ammo.

Reloading is the only way to go. Over the Obama years it was my mission to stock up components. I have plenty of loaded ammo on hand. But I could supply a third world army with what I have stashed for reloading.

Hey Big Pimpin how do you like the 10mm? I have been thinking of one, probably a Glock 20.

I carry nothing but .223 and .40 caliber. I have thousands of rounds of each. Here's the thing, when shit hits the fan, most LE and Military all carry .40 and .223. So, in the even that I need to 'borrow' any ammunition, I know that it'll be readily available. Other calibers are nice, just not practical when shit hits the fan. (unless you've already stashed away thousands of rounds.)

I've always liked the round 'on paper' so I bought my first 10mm, a G20 Gen 4, late last summer and I must confess that I have only ran two mags through it in my backyard the morning I brought it home. It did shoot sweet with not much more recoil than my Gen 2 G22 40 cal. Of course the recoil spring is a totally different animal now in the Gen 4's vs the 2's.

We got busy last fall and never got back to the range, then Sandy Hook happened in Dec so I went into ammo conservation mode. I did have have the forethought the Saturday morning after the shooting, to go my dealer and buy 10 mags for the G20 and 10 for my wife's new G17. I lived through the Brady Bill BS and remember when used high cap glock mags went for $150 when supply got low.

I agree with this ^^^ 100% which is why I have a 3 Glock 40's and will have a higher end AR-15 when this bullshit cools down, supply comes back and prices go back down.

Personally, I'm not 100% sold on an AR-15, however when there's a million guys running around with recent combat experience with them, not to mention every other friend and neighbor has one, when shit hits the fan I want something everyone knows how to work on and has magazines and ammo for.

Soon I will be in the market for either an AR or an AK. BUT before either of those I'll be picking up a shotgun in the 12 gauge flavor. My armory is a bit lacking. I only started buying guns a couple years ago.

the AR is simply the flavor of the month in the US and the ability to tailor them with your own accessories makes them attractive to many young rifle buyer's. kind of like putting your own rims on your car, etc. by personalizing it "yours" is different from the rest but just as functional. it's a good short range rifle and crazy easy to field strip and clean.

the 7.62 and the .308 are the money, with the latter going through cinder block like a hot knife through butter...

I laugh when i read his name and Guns , because no one can find any anti-gun legislation signed by Obama to take guns away from legal owners

Since his first election anyone who understands what was going on pretty much figured that the anti-gun crap would start in his second term. Obama would not risk getting his ass kicked over anti-gun issues. Low and behold, Obama's second term hits, fueled Newtown (which is disgusting how those children are being used politically) the "never let a crisis go to waste" principle kicked in and the true agenda came to the front. It is what it is. I and many like me just had the smarts to get ahead of the curve. Anyone who believes that the left, notice I said left not democrats, would not abolish the 2nd Amendment if they could is living in a dream world.

Ain't that some shit? About the 3 box limit. I was there the other day and the guy said it was a new policy implemented by corporate within the past 2 weeks. What difference does it make is 1 person buys them all, or if they're spread out to 20 different people? Wal-Mart is getting paid regardless. Anyhow, they only ammo they had available at the Wal-Mart right outside of D.C. was a couple boxes of .243 ammo and a few Remington 7mm boxes. Slim Pickins...

what's funny is that people forget that the GOP has control of the House and that any such legislation has no chance of getting passed. it is really good for gun sales to sell more firearms to those that already have them. the percentage of gun owners in the US isn't increasing it's decreasing, it's pre-existing gun owners buying more guns. how easy it is to make the puppets dance and buy things.

I think that you forget an important aspect. The President likes to legislate by executive order. I have no doubt that if he can't ram it through congress, he'll continue his attempts at disarming Americans via executive order.

Don't think for one second he has not already ran this by his legal lap dog Holder. If he was a law respecting person, one could say he understands that executive orders can not contradict the Constitution and/or settled law set by SCOTUS. But we can't be all that sure. Watch out after the next congressional elections. The dems don't want another AWB on their necks going into the elections. After the next elections is when the real play will happen. Especially if the left take the House.

He's disregarded the constitution so far, why would now be any different? Most recently, his NLRB appointments were rules unconsitutional, he proceeded anyway. Also, he went on and on and on about how Obamacare was not a tax, then SCOTUS ruled that it was. What gives you the idea that this president actually cares about the constitution?

Oh, and who in the blue hell are you?

Mostly what's available in the Detroit area are all kinds of shot shell, some oddball rifle calibers, .380acp and .44 magnum. Everything else is wiped out.

Forgot to mention I recently traded my dad my Gen 2 G22 for a Busmaster AR pistol that he had literally only had shot twice. I didn't even he know these existed until he bought one November 2008. I haven't shot it yet because we are low on 9mm at the moment though it did come with a full mag. I thought it would be a cool range 'toy'. I plan to replace the G22 with a new Gen 4 G22 when supplies catch back up.

    Here's what one looks like:

New Member, but that's not important right now...You mean that tax in Obamacare? Ronald Reagan raised taxes.....it happens,At least this goes to doing some good instead of the tax cuts signed by Bush that put us in this deficit hole... you need to read what the affordable care act actually covers and who will be subject to the tax....and we'll see what the SCOTUS says about those recess appointments...but like i wrote....congress makes the Laws, A president cannot alter the constitution by executive order

You really want to wait until AFTER he has done something that he said he wants to do? It's harder to undo than it is to prevent it.
