    This is the second text:

    BANKING AND FINANCES

The Central bank of Japan (BOJ) announced that it would not change its monetary politics, but that it had already been decided to take some steps in order to recover the banking sector. The BOJ is under the pressure of the government which demands its help with the deflation.
The Bank will keep on applying the strategy of light loans by keeping the final current account deposits sum on the level of 10-15 trillion JPY. The Bank undertook to provide the necessary liquidity even in case it exceeds the final current account deposits sum, if there is a risk of instability on the financial markets.

The current account deposits represent the bank reserves as well as the reserves of other financial institutions such as the dealer companies. The BOJ announced that the instability of share prices and financial markets could play havoc with the economic situation therefore it is necessary to monitor their development thoroughly. The Central bank has been under political pressure since the Tokyo index Nikkei was reduced to the 19-year old minimum amount under the key level of 9000 points. The Japanese banks which have to make the financial statements for the first semester before September 30th will have to depreciate the value of their devaluated equity shares. The Central bank considers providing loans with a considerably low interest rate which would be guaranteed by the government. The Central bank has already managed to reduce the interest rate on the financial market to almost zero. The capital one-day interest rate is today on the level of 0,002%.

The Penta share in the basic capital of the Restitution Investment Fund (RIF) grew again from 8,65% to 15,89% after approximately 7,2% were given back by Poštová banka (PB), a.s. as a result of the repo business balance. On the other hand, the PB share was reduced to 3,2%.

It was announced in the Securities centre report published yesterday (September 18th). The first repo business took place on October 15th on the Stock Exchange in Bratislava and the total number of 158.248 RIF shares with the price of 720SK each changed their owners.

    and the third one here:

    COMPUTERS

The current networks represent a complex group of systems and applications and thus it is needed to control several registers of users. The work with these registers quickly changes into an important administration problem which affects the users, administrators and application authors. The EMI architecture enables the administrators and application authors to resolve this problem easily.

Many administrators control the networks by various systems and servers and each of them needs a special user control via various registers of these users. As far as these complex networks are concerned the administrators are responsible for the control of identities and passwords of all users within several systems. In addition to this the administrators often have to synchronise these identities and passwords. The users have to remember several identities and passwords and they cannot confuse them. Since this excessing burden of the users and administrators is expensive, the administrators often spend their valuable/precious time by resolving the problems of failed attempts of logging in and reseting the forgotten passwords instead of controlling the company network.

The problem of the control of several registers affects also the application authors who want to provide multi-layer/multi-level or heterogeneous applications. The important commercial data of the consumers are put to many different types of systems and each of them needs its own register of users. As a result of this the application authors have to create special registers of users and their security semantics in the applications. Although this resolves the problem for the application author, the burden of the users and administrators becomes higher on the other hand.

The whole IT world has achieved an enormous growth in the speed of processors, in the volume of the operation memory or space on the hard disks recently. However the applications requirements on the performance of hardware grew in the same way. Also thanks to this fast development many companies created huge IT networks consisting of many servers of different performance characteristics/features, of different standards and different ways of their control. These IT networks are highly demanding as far as their cooling and connecting are concerned. Moreover a large space is needed for such IT networks.

The world’s best producers of servers realise these facts therefore they try harder and harder to offer to their customers such solutions that could resolve seemingly never-ending problems with the space, connecting, cooling and their complicated control.

One of the strategies which at the beginning of this year improved the view/opinion on the future of servers is the so-called blade servers. Their name was derived from the English word blade underlining their physical size – they are extremely narrow.
