Cuomo did this to solidify himself with the left for a presidential run. Cuomo and his cronies underestimated the back lash. By pulling this piece of shit legislation off, he has pretty much nailed his coffin in regards to a presidential run and killed any re-election chances as governor.
As a refugee from the People's Republic of New York, I say fuck him.
