Toungue Tit's New Car!!

With the end of the second semester I am presently very patiently awaiting the arrival of my final grades. Once they are in... I will be presenting them to my lord and father, upon which he will determine whether I am worthy of being bestowed with my own car next semester. This would be a very appreciated occurrence because next semester I'm gonna be living rather far from campus... and for that matter rather far from everything.... so a car would definately help in getting around.

Anyway....... I seek your wisdom today because I wanted to hear what type of car y'all recomend for me. I want something that doesn't suck, is fuel efficient and not too expensive. suggestions please??

Damn you talk sweet when you WANT something from us.

As much as I hate to admit it, it's hard to beat Japanese cars from the late 80's and early 90's. Get yourself a Toyota or Honda. They're easy to maintain, reliable, economic and, even if they do breakdown, they're easy to fix.

Rules? You mean we have RULES for that???

VW turbodiesel jetta gets my vote

they get like 50mpg, and have some decent pickup. diesels last forever, and the VW service is usually pretty good.

i almost got one about a year ago when i was car shopping... but somehow ended up with a WRX instead (dont ask).

Diesels last if you take care of them, otherwise they burn oil like a mofo.

I gotta agree with the honda and toyota advice as well. Ive had a one of each and they were always good cars... had a crx and a civic... add a mitsubishi to that list too... Im currently driving my second eclipse... last one had 200K+ miles on it when I got rid of it. Good luck.

Yeah, he said "Ford". It's the Texas part that's a downer.
