    Philadelphia school parents, students and staff are coming to grips with the impending closure of 23 public schools. Officials said the closings are because of the district's dire financial condition. (March 8)

    Ooooo I could tell you so much about school districts and wasted money. Where I live only about 30 cents of every dollar ever make it to the classrooms. This would set me off on a insiders rant which would not do anything but get my blood pressure up. Here is just one thing I have seen in the past year, 80K awarded from a federal government grant money, that requires 159K in general fund budget to support it. Stupid, just plain stupid.l

    I used to live close to that School, it can be a scary neighborhood, lots of Gun fire, robberies, drugs, gangs ....great place to raise children....
