I have a friend born in Mexico, left Mexico, went to college at UNT, now lives in San Antonio, he takes his kids across town to the only "Spanish Only School" no English is spoken, they do not teach Texas or US history but Spanish history instead and of course all curriculum is taught in espanol.

in the past 30 years 25-30% of US population growth can be attributed to immigrants and their descendants. current population growth trends show that from 1994-2050 60% of US population growth will be from immigrants. when it comes to economics it's always a numbers game. the higher the population in an advanced economy the greater the potential GDP output which means more money flows to the top to the capitalists. and since money is not value neutral, and excessive concentration of wealth leads to the concentration of political power. elites have always been for immigration, it decreases the cost of labor wages which means more profit for them. and since private capital controls the US political cycle those with wealth determine the majority of policy enacted in this country.

if you hadn't noticed US politicians don't pass any laws that ever effect them which means there is no major change coming to the US until the economy collapses down the road. that's just the way it is. electing a couple of independents won't do jack diddly squat when the entire political system has been corrupted by private monies as it's only gotten worst since the late 1800's.
