    I just enlisted in the United States Army

    Signed up today. What a long, boring process. From 3am to 3pm i was there. Ugh. Talk about a test of patience.

    Job:
    91w - medical specialist [field medic]
    Airborne

    Shipout date:
    Sept 16, 2003

    Schedule:
    Basic - Georgia - 9 weeks
    AIT - Texas [get that booze ready, yus and if :] ] - 17 weeks
    Airborne school - 3 weeks
    Then i get deployed where im needed.

    I was stationed at Ft Sam from 84 to 86 in enlisted student records. We took care of all the AIT students 201 files. I was assigned to United States Army Garrison.

    As for the poor asvab My scores were high enough for any branch, but none of them had anything i wanted See some action, jump out of airplanes and help keep our soldiers alive. Perfect combo :]

    The weight went fine. I was 181 , limit was 189. Suprised the hell outa my recruiter.

    Prince - That mos was merged into the 91w. Also, i was hoping my training would be at sam houston, but, nope , they stuck me at hood. :[ BTW, hood is near waco . It's north of Austin.

    Waco is a college town... my little bro went to Baylor U. He now lives in Austin. Make sure you make it there on the weekends to party on 6th street!

    San Antonio isn't but a couple hours South... you could go hook up with Craig and/or check out the River Walk.
