    I'm a bonehead ...

I have a CB radio I got about 5 years ago now. It stopped working right, so I brought it in to the shop and they fixed the solder points ... no big deal.

I drove down to S. FL this weekend ... and on the way back, the radio wasn't working right. So today I brought it back and the shop guy (who I think hates me) ... was like ... you know this thing has 120 channels right? And I knew it had 40 high/low ... but 120 ... ends up my roommate must have hit it and put it on low ... which is why I wans't getting a signal and outgoing meter was bunk.

I felt like such a bone head.

CB's rule. I bought a $30 one initially, loved it so much I traded it in a few weeks later for a $110 midland with a PA speaker and weather receiver. A real life saver on the highways!

CB's are the bomb. You don't have ot be a redneck to communicate on them ... you just have to talk like one if you want them to respond.

I throw down a heavy southern drawl before I key up.

I might have a radar detector, but the CB has saved my ass a billion times. Speed traps, alternate routes, avoiding accident traffic ... etc ... good stuff ...
