I am a fitter machinist by trade but work for my old man refurbishing electric motors for Coke, Pepsi and Shweppes.
We service the whole of Oz and no one else does it. It very boring and repetitive but he retires soon and i get the company

Specifications set by the various gaming jurisdictions. Each state gaming control board, Indian gaming control boards and riverboat gaming control boards set their own guidelines.

example: a video slot machine approved for use in California for ticket-in/ticket-out (TITO) may not be approved for use at all in Missouri. But that very same game machine may be approved in Illinois but only for coin and paper and not TITO. It's the biggest political pain in the ass.

Yeah, I've thought about getting out of it at times, but it pays the bills and if I leave the way the market is right now for IT people, I may not easily get back in.

Wow, alot of folk are in IT. Besides being a personal trainer, which is just a part-time gig, I am a Clinical Research Consultant hoping to eventually get some of that fat cash in the pharmaceutical industry, but am currently in academia.

Virtually everybody who is in the group I do road racing stuff with is in IT. Some of them though leave to do sales etc because of the on-call type hours sometimes required.
