    Nice quality!

Me and the wife just bought a new computer, so I am hoping to get a digital camera soon. Her old Pentium 120 with 56k dialup could not handle a digital camera.

LOL ... no, my soul, to my Chase card.

    Sony DSC-V1 5.0 Megapixel ...

I'm driving to TX for my first real "vacation" trip in a long time ... it's gonna be 100% relaxation. Me, the dog, and 14 hours each way of open road.

Figured I might wanna take some shots

LOL ... Yeah, I had to get a new monitor 'cause my old one was really fuzzy and overdue! I've been wanting a digicam for a lonnnng time. It hurt my piggy bank, but I'll get good use out of it.

The pictures were 2400x1944 or something before I resized these for the web! They're so big, if the picture you wanted sucks, you can still find other pictures within the picture, LOL.

Sweeeeet. The monitor is not our problem, it's the entire CPU.

I downloaded some free L View Pro picture software to resize pics for the web.

I have been using that for years. It really does some great compression while keeping the photo's really sharp.

What bugs me about digital cameras (including my own) is that sometimes the darker colours turn out awful and you can see all the macro blocks, like the shaded areas in the augers photo.
I always have trouble trying to avoid this happening, with not much success (I don't know too much about lighting )

I know what you mean. I don't recall seeing the blocks that bad in the original. I had to lighten it up, and increase the saturation a little. That probably accounts for it.

I think making the aperature smaller and lengthening the shutter speed might help. But that's a shot in the dark (ha ha ha) ...

Trial and error ... I hope to make it like a third hobby, LOL

Wow dude, your crank is filthy, clean that thing. Then when you are done, go clean your bike's crank too.
