Wow - my wife and I love the Banff region. We will probably be going sometime in January to Lake Louise (we love staying at the "Chateau"). Such a profoundly beautiful an tranquil place. It's not commercialized like the US Ski resorts either. Last time we were there we had to go into "extreme ski mode" with full face protection though due to the record ice blizzard that hit Canada that year (-15 below zero during day but it was a BLAST). I will neer forget our heating radiator pipes freezing it was so cold (-45 degrees at night) but we found ways to crank up the temperature the old fashioned wayOriginally posted by J'Bo
