For Fire
Since everyone was writing poems about bodybuilding, I figured I would drop some shit for ya. It may be more of a rap than a traditional poem, but they are one in the same anyways so peep this,
Soldier
I'm a soldier without tha war paint n attire, strive past tired, 'n stay wired, satisfaction's a must so I make my way higher;
desire's higher than yours and thats evident, I'm reppin, check the sweat from my pores, and steppin more towards, a lesson learnt, no guessin no more, I do my best till death, and the rest ain't so hard;
it'll come cause under tha squat rack I'm an animal then, the battle is in him they say and catabolism is slim, like a bottle of 'slin, powerful hormones mixed with the will to win,
I'm feeling it then, and the end ain't my will to contend, but moreso the journey along,
My focus is strong and never fragile, on this bodybuilding odessy you must be adgile, only trust the man in the mirror, the rest can act vile, and honesty and patience are more important than any weight pile thats piled on,
and all the while strong, and the miles long,
but without it all the pride is gone;
I am driven by the feel of the grip of steel, I rip, I feel if I trip, I'm real, but never slip so I can't appeal;
I'm right back even more intense at a lift, I sense its a gift, livin life for the high that I get when the endorphins rush, my face red like a blush, the sense of my touch of the bar makes sense, theres never a rush;
and the ferociousness brings a calmness, a peace to my world, my feats shared by many the elite who always dare to be bold;
so as the years pass and I get older, behold here, when it comes to this iron game I'm a motha fuckin soldier.

a dissapointment, my friends and I were going to mob up to vancouver for the weekend just for kicks, my best friend isn't 21 yet so yta knoow, but that fell through b/c of our finances, damnit. Now scholl starts for me on the 22nd and the summer is over, oh well I am excited for school start again, ready to hit it hard. We went to a titty bar up here to make up for it, haha
I woke up monday. nuff said. I"m still alive and that makes it all good. Seriously, spent time with the kids and worked out. I'm getting back in my groove and happy about it.
Shoulder is "ok". It does ache from doing certain things but I can deal with that. Before I couldn't even do those certain excercises at all. Now I can do them and only suffer some aches afterwards. PUllups for example were impossible, not even one. Now at least I can do my bodyweight for 6 to 8. I'm not pushing them along to quickly. The reps and added weight will come. I don't want to risk re-injuring it.

I had a shitty day in the gyum today. Really annoying..I was having troulbe moving weight that should have been easy for me...
I know..somedays are good , others aren't..but this should have been easy weight!

Trust me,, let it go for now. Remember it only on the day you go back to the gym to do that bodypart. REmember it then and get mad, get explosive and kick your ass. Yeaaa baby now I"m talking.
I was talking w/ a friend fomr the gym. (forget his name..Ihave a big mouth..go figure) and know a lot of the guys in there.
He was spotting me. I tld him what I had bor breaky and his possible thought was that I had to complex of carb beore I went to the gym and that my stomach was still digesting it..
who knows..
But yea, I know what you mean..shrug it off and press on..

Yep, you'll end up coming back stronger then your last good workout. Sometimes the body just needs that extra break so you tell it to train and it tells you to fuq off.
