    What happens when we die?

I'm in a philisophical mood this morning...

What do you think happens when we die? Do you believe that we go to heaven or hell? Do you think we come back in another form? Do you think there is something else? Or do we just end and everything just goes black...totally over.

And if you do believe in heaven or hell, what do you think it is? Is it like being here, or do you believe in the idea of the fluffy clouds with angels or demons with pitchforks?

BTW, I'm not meaning this to be a religious thread, because I'm not religious but I am interested in hearing people's thoughts. No flaming please.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

Now how is it you think this is not going to turn into a religious thread? People's belief in what happens to them after they die ties directly into their religious beliefs. Surely you have figured that out up to this point.

Now if you want different peoples interpretation of what they belief an afterlife will be like, well that is different. But it will be impossible to keep that thread going without conflict and flames, because the people that have NO belief in afterlife(heaven or any other) will be telling those that do believe that they are nuts and so on...yada yada yada...and it will just go back and forth. Good luck though...

That is hilarious! I agree though.
Homer: Hey! I saved your life! That egg sandwich could have killed you by cholesterol.
Lenny: Pfft, forget it, Homer. While it has been established that eggs contain cholesterol, it has not yet been proven conclusively that they actually raise the level of serum cholesterol in the human
    blood stream.

Sorry, I guess that came out wrong. I have seen too many examples of times where things get out of hand on other boards. I know that the people here aren't like that and that's what I love about this place.

As for me, if I was going to come back it would be as a Victoria's Secret catalogue photographer. Either that or a cat. Sit on my butt all day and get fed.

Heaven to me would be a 50,000 square foot gym with a basketball court and Olympic pool and the only members allowed besides me are fitness competitors and Playboy playmates.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.
