After September 11th, everyone had one up. Where did they go? I have mine up, the only one in my subdivision, where's yours?

Loving the country hass nothing to do with flying a flag.

I never had a flag up before 9-11, I haven't had one since, and I will probably never fly one. If I want to see a flag I will look out of my office window.

Here's my problem with the flag nowadays...

It seems as though most Americans are treating this country as though it were their favorite football team....with flag stickers all over their cars and silly little semi-clever catch phrases like "these colors don't run" yada yada yada. To me, this has turned into nationalism, NOT patriotism. I am ALL FOR patriotism, but nationalism is a completely different story, and something I Think we should be concerned with.

..also, before people start calling me unpatriotic, I"ll stop you right there, because I love this country just as much as the next guy. I am afraid of the direction it is going in though, and I am trying to do what I feel is right to get it going on the right track.

I would love this country a whole lot more if they would stop taking so much out of my paycheck and then, to top it all off, take more money when I purchase something.
