Aol

AOL 9.0 is out. How many fucking numbers are going to come out anyway? Every 8 months they have an upgrade. And it's still a shitty company. The worst thing is AOL has been having money problems, but where ever you go, there's those damn free disks.

I'm waiting for AOL 57, our software sucks so bad it gets a re-write every year and just gets slower.

well guys, I realised the same as you and had the idea of 'downgrading' myself.
I went 'back' to version 6 and i have had less probs with it than any of the more recent versions. The more recent versions cause some registry probs that arent there with version 6 (I'm running win 2k, btw) and i have a theory about this AOL crap, I am convinced there is more control given to them in the later versions than in the older, maybe its inbuilt spyware or whatever, ut i have a very strong feeling that by going back to ver.6 one is telling them to fuck off, to some degree..............so there you have it

I use a local company. I think anyone that goes with AOL, Earthlink or any of those big companies, you're just asking for bad service.

I've been using AT&T who is now Comcast for about 2 years now with excellent service. My connection only dropped a handful of times during the 2 years. Their cable modem service is 45.00 bucks a month.
