Question Reasons why you started training

Just woundering the most common reason why people started to train/working-out. Some people must have the same reason as other people, so what was your reason for starting to go to the gym, lift weights at home.

Weight loss and to feel better about myself.

Now it's to help others do the same thing.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

    I'll cut this short.

When I was younger, I was VERY athletic and a gym aholic.

After having two children I devoted myself to them. I didn't do anything for me.

3 years ago I started having chest & shoulder pain. Ran series of tests. Nothing wrong with the heart or lungs. Went to Chronic Pain Sports Specialist and was diagnosed with having a Muscular Skeletal System problem. My muscles were knotting up because I wasn't doing anything with them anymore. Went through 3 month of physical Therapy using Electro Stimulants. After that, hooked up with a trainer at my local gym.

Started going twice a week. Then 3 times.....Then 4 times till I gained every ounce of strength back. During this period my trainer and his wife were training for a competition. I went to watch them compete......right then....after watching the competition....I knew it was for me. It would help ME stay fit and keep ME motivated.....plus I knew I had great genetics to work with.

I was skinny and wanted to look muscular (basically to feel better about myself). I had also just finished college and found myself bored with all this free time on my hands. I needed something to do. 7 years later I am still working out.
