New Years in Chi-Town??? Hmmnn.. sounds very interesting. Eggs, I take it you and Jenny will be staying with either family or friend's, correct? Where would you suggest visitors potentially as myself to stay if we came? East side, west side, north or south? Just curious. I might be able to book a layover if I do travel during the New Years's holiday time!

I'd love to meet you and Jenny both!!

    I try

Yeah, Jenny and I will be staying with my family. They live in St. Charles, which is pretty much due West of Chicago about 45 minutes to an hour by metra. I really wish I could offer for you all to come stay with me, but I might not get invited back But anywhere in the area really is pretty good. Downtown is the best for partying New Years, as we probably wont be able to catch the train back (closes down). Unless we stayed up till bright and early! If you guys want me to I can look around for some good pricing on hotels, etc in the area though. I'll be happy to pick you up from the airport if you want to come in that way.

I have spent new years in Chicago before. My girlfriend (now ex) and I spent new years eve at Navy Pier. Five hours just aimingsly walking around, and watching fireworks for one min. in the freezing cold.

14 hours in the car? That's like Miami to Atlanta and half! Or, 3 hours less than me driving from Miami to NYC!

We'd end up killing each other within 7 hours in a car together, wouldn't you think, J'bo??

I don't know what the word "partying" means anymore! To me, a cheat meal is a "party"... does that count?

Seriously, I think it would be a nice time if we all did hang out, listen to great music, have a few drinks...oh yes, I almost forgot!!! AND EAT!!!

Haha, you have to plan these things a little better Grant... 5 hours wandering Navy Pier would be cold. Better to have a room somewhere close to the waterfront so you could just walk out and view the fireworks.

Actually, David, that sounds just right. Much preferable to the other alternatives in fact. A nice dinner, go somewhere and listen to music and all chat it up a bit, and have a couple drinks would be a sweet New Year.

Haha, it sounds like Jenny might be down with that pizza after all Good, I think she'll like our Chicago pizza!

Yeah Randy, Jenny and I are a couple Thanks!

BOWLING???!?!?!? J'bo's going bowling... J'bo's going bowling... don't worry J'bo, I'm sure Randy will SPARE you on that and some hottie at the club will STRIKE your fancy down the middle! LMAO!! I do say that I did quite well in adding in "bowling" terms there!

No, it would be simple. We'd both make it alive unless you crash and kill one or both of us! (I'd make you do the 14 hours drive... all the way..... baby! While I SNOOZE and RELAX ) Would it go down like that J'bo-babe?

    Nicely done David.

Yeah, bowling wouldn't be my first choice to celebrate New Years either. I just know how much those balls can turn on J'bo

Nah Tank, dont know any Haywoods... do you know which part of St. Charles they live in? My family has only lived there about a year now, we live on the Western side near Wasco.

Hey, they have a bowling alley about 4 miles from my house! Its pretty sucky though from the 2 minutes I spent inside it once
