    Tibetan Monks and meditation

I don't meditate. Maybe I should because it may help my stress levels. Anyway, on the Discovery Channel, their doing this thing on a Tibetan Monks' mummy. They did tests on monks and meditating and how it effected their body. In one case the monks wrapped themselves in wet sheets and sat in a 40 degree room. While meditating they raised their core temperature so much that while the scientists were watching the monks started to steam and their sheets were dry! In another case, they were able to drop their core temperature and their use of oxygen by 64%!!

I wonder how a bodybuilder could use these methods in their weight training regimine. Your thoughts?

I've seen displays too where they can raise and lower their heart rate at will. One was hooked up to a heart rate monitor and took his heart rate up to over 250 BPM and then lowered it down to 30 BPM in just a few minutes.

Freaky stuff...makes you think that the stuff is very effective.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.
