Apparently my web host, where our dedicated server resides, had a router go down today at around 11:00am MTN.
As you probably noticed the site was inaccessible for around 5 hours. ![]() My apologies. BOARD SPONSORS: ![]()

And we thought you didn't like us anymore and took the site down!
Glad it is back! |

MY WEBHOST'S EXPLANATION FOR THE OUTAGE:
Nov 21, 2003 Network Outage On Nov 21st, 2003 at approximately 1:30 Eastern Time we lost our primary switch in our Philadelphia NOC due to total hardware failure. Alex, who is usually in the Philadelphia area, was onsite in Scranton today. Our onsite employee in PHLA was unable to resolve the situation, so the problem persisted while Alex drove the 2+ hours back to PHLA. Our networking group were on scene at approximately 5:30 Eastern Time. Service was restored by installing a new switch at approximately 5:45 PM Eastern Time. We apologize for the inconvenience and will make more information available as it becomes known. We did have a backup switch available. However, it required configuration changes and physical installation, which the onsite employee did not have the capability to perform. Once Alex was onsite, service was restored within approx. 15 minutes. In most cases, Alex would have already been on site and been able to make these changes in 15 minutes, but due to his being onsite at our main NOC in Scranton today, drivetime was also involved. I say we punch Alex in the face for not being in Philly. You see Alex [the mythical one the web-host invented] should have told his bosses [the imaginary web ones] that he needed to stay in Philly cause the Homer in charge spilled beer [not coffee] on the server that hosted this site.

Now she's holding a baseball bat and it reads "Bring It On." |

at Mudge's comment! Funny thing is I'm in Orlando visiting friend's/Family and just got done balming my friend's computer for firewalls etc. calling his computer a piece of junk and it wasn't on his end. I based this on the fact that after my workout, I went to Kinko's to lookup restaurants and gave IM a shot an d it worked! ![]() |

Who the fuq is Alex anyway? The unnamed 'onsite employee' needs a good spanking.
Hey, I'm only 10 minutes from downtown Philly. I was home, they shoulda called me to fix the beach. |

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...
