I like country! But I like almost everything. The country coming out lately though seems to sound all alike!
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...

As far as "sounding the same" , Country is no worse than Rap, or Popular music, or LittleBalla's sorry assed attitude for that matter.

Lets see what would I rather listen to:

    1. Patriotic heart felt songs abouit truth, love, loss, real life down south (Country)
    or
    2. Gangsta, killing, anti-government, hate-filled, nigga-thumping stupid music with nothing but loud bass.

Hmm, I think I'll pick country. If you pick #2:

    a. You should move to another country.
    b. You are 12 years old
THAT WHICH DOES NOT KILL ME, CERTAINLY MUST MAKE ME STRONGER

Rap has indeed attracted you little lemmings like flies to a big pile of dog crap.

Umm, that said, I like rap now and then

Country... well, I like hearing a song every once in a while, but its not my listening preferance. I like a bit of alternative, techno, classical (the Lug and Tchai, etc), and so on. Really just a mood thing.

So, if the market were pumped full of 'Grunge Polka Yodelers' next year, you'd be yelling, "Grunge Polka is the Bomb! Yodelayheehooo!"

Dude, you're a real intellectual infant.

That's because they don't associate with them! They have their own Country Music Association awards.

I'm all about the hip-hop. People that don't follow hip-hop are usually ignorant to the fact that there is more than glorified gangsta rap. But these are the same people that base their opinion on a few "mainstream" hip-hop songs.

And according to MTN Warrior's post: Yah, let's take two extemes in different genres in music to make a point. I don't like country music, but I doubt it's all about patriotic bullsh*t, and hip-hop isn't all about anti-this, anti-that. Another ignorant post with stereotypes to justify his opinion. What a joke!

Well Pimp, lets then take the ratio of partiotic rap songs to he number of partiotic songs from ANY other genre. Lets be realistic, gangsta rap is whats big these days... its played on all the radio stations (that play rap) and its what the general public hears. Its not about making things better, or striving for excellence, or doing anything good. Its about pimps (your self title) and ho's, and thug'n it up with Joe. The Black Eyed Peas are pretty good, and I like their song "Where is the Love", but one cannot associate mainstream rap with that.

Theres a reason why songs are mainstream... its because alot of people listen to them. So one can quite easily stereotype what mainstream music is like. Just like you can about country music. I have to admit that too many dogs die and too many wifes leave their husbands in country music for my taste.

That said, I think that was a bit too stereotypical MTN... and I listen to rap now and again, just like I listen to most other genres of music, and I'm not a 12yr old pimp or a hustla.
