i know sergio was big, but i dont know if he was bigger than Arnold.

Sergio prob. had bigger Arms in sheer size. But Arnold's were neatly seperated into different sections. plus Sergio had no peak to his arms, whereas Arnold had amazing peaks.

So what is up with Lee Haney now days? I don't really keep up to speed on BB anymore but I thought Haney was probably the best Olypia contender in modern bodybuilding. He was huge, cut and still looked "real".

I like Sergio, he was one of the pioneers in my opinion. The best of his day no doubt.

I'm a die hard Arnold fan but Lee is damn close to being a tie in my book. Too bad these two did not hit the scene during the same years and go head to head.

As a matter of fact, watch Raw Iron: The making of P.I. Bill Grant is in that, and he talks about how much camaraderie they had, White AND BLACKS

when i say no black guy could keep up with Arnold, i meant it. given the tiny numbers of bodybuilders during that era, and the very small percentage of black BB's among those tiny numbers, there were NO BLACK GUYS THAT COULD KEEP UP WITH ARNOLD, except, to repeat myself again, Robbie and Bill, WHO WERE BLACK, who trained at the same gym "with" him with teh likes of Franco, Ken waller, Corney and all those other guys.

Actually in pumping Iron they gave a spot to Robby Robinson posing and his goofy girlfriend/wife (thats my man thats my man...Remember that?)
and also had him sun bathing with Arnold and tossing a football back and fourth with the other bodybuilders.

What are you talking about????? How much do you hear of Dorian Yates these days??? Or Frank Zane or any of them for that matter. You are reaching for straws with this futile racist argument. A multitude of whites were not lime lighted either. Only the best got the spot light. Sergio Oliva was one of the all time best and not one single bodybuild today even as young as 17 know who Sergio is.

I think Lee Haney is busy in Atlanta running his gyms....I saw him a few months ago on a Christian network television program and looked in shape and happy. He's got a website somewhere and people can ask for some casual advice online, I think.

I've got an old video clip of Victor Richards posing next to Dorian Yates at a FIBO a few years ago.... he was huge, even next to Yates.

hahahaha,,, Funny thing Mudge but to me, ALL of them look dwarfed to the guys today. No name guys in our gyms today that don't even compete are bigger then many of yesteryears pros.
Rich Gaspari competed at 225!! He probably wouldn't even get qualified for the Olympia at that size today.

He was heavier than Arnold yet shorter, and supposedly his arms were larger than his head. I'm 4 inches taller and have a 22.5" head, so that sounds doable for him.
