Hi all, have any of you seen the movie "The Last Samuri" yet? I've heard it was an excellent movie but would like feedback from you guys and gals if you saw it. I would like to see it but wondering if I should go to the theater or wait for the Rental.

This was a very good movie I thought. Probably 3rd best movie i've seen at the theater this year, others being Mystic River and Kill Bill Volume 1.

Now now now, how can you say that BEFORE you see the movie? See the movie THEN become a critic. No offense Auggie but your making an assumption. I thought TITANIC would be nothing more then another one of those damn love stories and it turned out to be outstanding and much more then I expected.

Well thanks to you guys, I'm going to the big screen on this one as I presumed I would. I've yet to hear a negative Professional review on it either but like I said originally, I don't go by those critics that GET paid to see them but moreso by the people that pay big bucks to see them.

i enjoyed the film, but its not up to par with braveheart. no way. if you going to compare shogun is way better then the last samurai. since both movies delt with foreign men becoming samurai.

Personally, I liked it better for Braveheart for a few different reasons. But in my opinion, they are both very different movies and hard to compare.
