Talking Lord of the Rings geek thread

Who's going tomorrow? Man, I can't wait. I have not been this excited about a movie in a LONG time. When I think about what showing I'm going to attend tomorrow, I get very ancy thinking about all the people and the lines that are going to be there.

Based on the early buzz, this is supposed to be the best film of the three and won't disappoint.

I am going tommorow, no doubt. if not, within the next couple days.

i watched the 1st two within the last couple of days (when i shoulda been studying for finals). everything is fresh in my head, and i can't wait for the 3rd.

i've also heard its supposed to be better than the 1st two, if so, this one is going to be AWESOME

Yup, I watched both movies again in the past week. I wanted them fresh on my mind.

I am thinking of catching the 7:00 or 8:00 showing tomorrow. I'll probably get there an hour before showtime. It's going to be a fucking mob scene.

I get chills when I see the preview. I also heard it is 3 hours and 30 minutes long, so be prepared for even more amazing filmmaking.

I have two friends who want to do the "marathon" LOTR day - watch the 1st two on DVD (special edition full versions of course) and then go to the 3rd. That will be over 10 hours of movie watching - awesome!
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

I won't be able to see if for a few weeks probably! I have problems with crowds, get claustrophobic and when I watch the movie I want to make sure I have good seats!

My partner left at 10 am this morning to go to an all day thing where they show the extended versions of the first two movies then at midnight run the new one.

He was so excited. I have never read the books nor seen the movies, so I was struggling to understand what the big deal was.

LOL...that struck me funny, but it's 100% correct. I made fun of my friends that saw the first one a year before I did, now I'm eating crow. I bought the first two and will the third as soon as it is available.

You need to rent the DVD's, dude. This trilogy is cinematic history. It's just brilliant film making.

I'm right there with ya Pepper. Never seen nor read the books and honestly have no desire to do so. Can't really figure all the hype on it either.

I'm waiting a couple of days before I go, I can't stand dealing with Super Geeks. Plus I like choosing just the right seat, not one of the ones that might be left.

Plus part two was so awesome, I'm wondering if I'll set myself up for disappointment if I go early.
