    After the Holiday Blues

How's everyone's finances after the christmas shopping frenzy. I work with a guy that just asked me if I could lend him $2000.00 because he's in the hole after the holiday shopping frenzy. How could you spend $2000.00.

That is a lot. I guess if it doesn't break the bank, then there is no harm. When you have to take out a loan to cover your xmas buying binge, then I think it's time to cut back on the present buying. People get caught up in thinking they have to buy presents for anyone who's ever said hello to them over the past year.

the missus only buys for the 5 children. Our daughter gets spoiled (of course) then we buy for 4 other kids that might not get much because of their living circumstances. The parents got $50 dift certificates to restarants of their choosing. I think we might have spent $400 all together. Now, the missus' bday is a different story. She's getting a couple of nice presents.

    Thats cool NT!

I would have spent a tad more (mainly on Matt) but I'm in a wedding in 3 wks and have to pay $75 for my dress alterations this weekend, then I have to get a brake job on my car, and need to buy the bride a gift..and this weekend is her Bacholorette party--soo forking out a lot for that!

I baked people stuff though--thats fun!

Stacey ... don't get caught up in being Missus Claus. If you choose that route, you'd better start saving now.
