    Lightbulb Computer Help

Ok here is question for those of you who know something about computers. Ok, I connected a new HD on my computer to install Win2K for another computer. Then removed the new hard drive and left the HD I had before. Now when I boot my computer I get 2 choices of selecting Win2K, one of them works one of them don’t. Now how cam I remove the one that does not work from that list?

i think you can edit that out by editing the boot.ini file.

I think the file is in the root of c: but not sure.

Someone else my know more, but I have just deleted this file in the past but would not want to be liable for you doing that if it messes you up

Boot.ini file is hidden and read only. Once booted (or by using ATTRIB at the cmd line, attrib /? for help), show all files, and remove the offending entry after making the file not read only.

Boot.ini is in the root dir, c:\boot.ini

You may want to make a backup copy first.
