Post holiday Credit Card Bill amount?

    Just got mine yesterday:

    Your previous balance: $0
    Your current balance: $1495

Whoops. Mega payment going on that sucker today.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

It's hard to say exactly what mine is, but $1500 sounds about right between me and the wife.

Luckily this year I only used a Circuit City card and it is totally interest free for 13 months which it will be paid in probably 4 or less. Around 1700 total dollars, got the new Sony DVD handycam and a new computer.

No interest was the only reason I really even considered using it. Not a bad deal if you can pay it off quickly and avoid the overlap where interest will accrue from the date of purchase. This is what they count on. Folks who will not pay off in time to get nailed.

My wife took advantage of that Circuit City deal to buy me a $500 digital camera. WOO HOO! We're trying very hard to resist buying a widescreen HDTV. *must resist...must save for a house*

I think I charged about $600 on a Visa card but the rest, about $1400, we paid cash for.

My credit card bill is routinely $2000 or so per month. Of course, I charge everything possible, which is why $20 cash can last me a couple of weeks.

same here, I charge everything and pay it every month, so $2,000 per month is normal, right now it's at $2700, but we charged a lot of x-mas in November.

We do the same thing- charge everything possible. It beats always having to go to the ATM all the time. Our bill runs about 2000 every month, but this bill was over 5000 Laptops can be expensive
We pay all in one shot as I refuse to pay interest. The funny thing is they keep increasing my limit in hopes I will send a smaller payment

Ya I think so! Before we got married I had about 12-15 credit cards and would pay like $20 on each...so sad. I'm glad we paid them all off when we got married!!! He's tought me a lot. If we don't have the cash to buy it-then We don't really need it! (I know some cases are different though--and I'm sure I may need one when I have a baby!!!)

But its Nice not any now!

If you have a problem with credit cards, then I think that is a good plan.
I never have, I pay my entire balance at the end of the month, have for the past 6 years.

NT-- I'm just thinking that with all the stuff it needs--some things may have to go on Matt's credit card (he has ONE he uses for emergencys or to order online stuff--but always pays it off in full at the end of the month.

Prince- I do not have credit card problems now-- I did 2 years ago- but I have been perfect ever since-- I was Just young and Naive--now I know lots about it- and I am much smarter!

I have such high balances! My wife and I were missionaries for 4 years, no debts. When we left the road we had to use our cards since we had no money (didn't get paid as missionaries). Our cards ended up getting maxed and we are so deep in debt now it makes me sick.
