Thread: How close are you to your in-laws?

So over the holiday break my brother and his wife showed up revealing that they're trying to have a kid. That's all cool and all, but his wife went on to discuss in detail with our mother facts such as "off the pill" and "no condom" straight in my face. These are words my mother should not know...

So it got me thinking, that's pretty comfortable in front of someone else's mother.

Is anyone else this comfortable with their in-laws?

Tit talks to my mother as casually as she speaks to a parent, but as much as her parents love me they scare the hell out of me. I'm terribly uncomfortable around them, as much as I try to act normal and friendly with them. Her mom's a Man-hater and her dad's overprotective but luckily missing a shotgun. How am I suppose to compete with that???

Wholly sheat what a question of the day expecially after this past New Years Eve day. I got into a huge fight with my Mother out law that Im still suffering anxiety from it when I think about it. Damn meddling in laws always sticking their nose in where it doesn't belong pisses me the fuq off. Hell I'm 41 years old and sometimes their constant advice being shoved down my throat and my wifes' throat pushes me to the limit so after the old man and old lady got done their newest attack on how wife and I do things I stood up and told them that I was sick and tired of it and to keep the comments to themselves. and some other choice words (no cursing or anything that disrespectful) just spoke up in disatification. Next thing out of the mother out laws mouths was to her husband "John, just tell him to go fuck himself" well let me tell you what it took NOT to explode, grab the kids and walk the fuq out. I boiled and said I didn't appreciate being talked to in that way and that she showed a total disrespect to me. Of course no appologies followed and the wife said "mom that was out of line" and it was dropped. Well wife went on like it never happened and I have to say, New Years Day SUCKED for me having to sit there for another fuqing 3 hours or so. I couldn't wait to get the hell home and haven't talked to the asshole ever since. FUQ HER and the broom she road in on. Soo to answer your question I feel comfortable enough to take shit from the out-laws and tell them off with more class and respect then they show me. Actually not THEY, Father in law is a great guy and yea he meddles in but in a loving way and not like the witch he is married to. It's just her that eats at my fever loving nerves.
