From what I heard they knew she was bleeding (internally) but they couldn't stop it. The transfusions she received apparently made clotting more difficult so they didn't miss the bleeding - they just couldn't do anything about it. So sad...

That is a shame.
How many of these types of surgeries are actually successful? Every time you hear about something like this, the person/people die after surgery.
