ahhhhh, i kinda figured that, but still i had to make sure, anyone else agrees with that or does it meas something else........
damn, it makes me feel good about myself now hehe
what CAT said, I am trying at the moment to become a member of the RCMP, long process for us canadians, 18 months of applications, testing and interviews just to get to the six months of training, well worth it though, gonna be an excelent career.
I imagine in salt lake city there are numerous positions or detachments you could become a member of, you do well in the training and they will be actively recruiting you, thats what that statement sounds like to me.

here in salt lake city, there are about 700 aplicants each time and only about 5-15 get hired on, but im truly not worried i know i will be among the hired ones. Im an active police explorer. I speak read and write Englich,German, Bosnian and serbo-croatian. im gona have a 4 year degree form Uni. of Utah. im in absolutely Excelent physical shape, healthy. Im not a stranger to firearms. Right now im a "private Security officer on Duty", with experience...and im just a open minded person... i love it POLICE is something that makes me really proud....
ride alongs are great, how is it up in canada i hear a lot of shit about them up there, is it true they dont carry guns, and how is the criminal life over there....???????
Untrue as far as the guns go, the pack 9 MM's, shotguns in cruisers, they also pack pepper spray and have all recently started carrying tazers! I know here that all of the officers who carry the pepper spray and the tazers must first have them used on themselves so they know what it's like...that oughta be fun!!Originally posted by QuestionGuy

You guys here about the cop that was testing his tazer our on an inmate? It was all over the news I think. Strange thing was, I swear the inmate had volunteered for it or something silly like that... then once it happened it got made into this huge deal.
Rediculous!
didn't hear about that one, will have to look for it.
