There are so many ridiculous laws. For what reason is there only 30 days to petition other than to inconvenience the innocent.

I'd be interested to see in who voted for this federal law they are talking about.

While I feel that legitimate "deadbeat dads" should have to pay, there needs to be conclusive proof (DNA test) that they are indeed the father of the child.

The fact that a DNA test becomes irrelevant in this process is scary.

a buddy at work just had to send DNA results to charleston S.C. to find out he has a 3 yr old daughter. He might have to pay backpay for 3 yrs for a kid he didn't even know about. I hope it never happens to me.

well gentlemen, strap up is all I gotta say. Bring your own condoms, don't use hers, and strap up every single time no matter what. In fact watch where you throw that rubber afterwards also. Women have been know to take it and empty the contents in them when you aren't lookin and there you have it. Carry around some tabasco sauce for that thou and you will be straight.

Man that is bullshit. I think that there should be a mandatory DNA test before anyone has to pay child support. Doesn't seem like too much to ask for 18 years of paying.

Wasn't there a court case where a female kept the used condom and froze the sperm to use later? I believe the man filed suit to retrieve his sperm and block her from impregnating herself with it.

No doubt. Even if they required the requester to pay for the test, it would be worth it. I'd rather have to pay $200 once, than $400 a month for 18 years.
